I came to aspen after having a bad experience with western dental (I left shaking and in pain every time and my anxiety was through the roof). Aspen made me feel like I was safe and my privacy mattered. Today I got 4 cavities filled. I was in a time crunch as I had work at 2 and my appointment was at 1. Even though they normally would take 2 hours for the amount I had they were able to get me in and out in under and hour while still maintaining their quality. I left happy and felt cared for. Even when they numbed me they put a numbing agent on my gums before injecting the needle to reduce pain! Definitely a happy patient, will be going back to get my wisdom teeth taken care of next.

I was VERY unhappy with todayβs visit!! Too much pain and what a mess in my mouth. We have traveling dentists right now ( for the last few months). They arenβt here long enough to start showing care and compassion towards the clientele. Today was the worst.Iβm calling Monday and make an appointment to go in and show Aaron, the guy that runs the place, the absolute mess in my mouth. I hope and pray that she never comes back to the Chico office.

My visit with Aspen was great. The staff were all so nice and welcoming. They didn't judge me about my dental difficulties, and instead made me feel encouraged.
I need a lot of work, and I knew that before going in. Aspen gave me great treatment options, along with the pros and cons of each.
Their pricing was very fair, and I'm looking forward to a healthier smile.

Lengthy appointment today for crown prep. Dr Chen and Jen were both excellent. Explained procedures and concerned for my comfort! Great job!

My experience was very positive. The staff was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. The dentist was great and I was able to get an appointment immediately after I discovered I chipped my tooth the night before. The technology in the office is impressive.

I love Aspen β€ The staff are all so sweet and they always put my needs and wants first. They don't judge and are always on your side. I'm so happy I went with Aspen for my dental work!! I used to have bad anxiety when going to the dentist, but the positive attitudes and encouragement that goes along with Aspen has greatly alleviated my fear of the Dentist which made for a smooth experience as well.
ETA: I had 14 teeth extracted in 45 minutes and I didn't even wait 10 minutes to get in π

Dr. James W. Willis was extremely disrespectful today; the worst customer service I have experienced in my 30 years as a parent. I took my 14-year-old autistic son to Aspen Dental today for a routine check-up. After we checked in, an assistant took my son back for his x-rays and said she would come and get me after he was done. About 25 minutes later I asked the receptionist to be taken back to my son where he was awaiting his exam. He was alone in the room; once the x-ray tech and hygienist saw me approach they went into the room and performed their duties. Although they were very nice, they were not very attentive. I explained to them that my son was autistic, and the hygienist looks at him and said, "You're very serious." I reiterated that he was autistic. I was gob smacked at her aloof comment. Clearly, they were not trained on how to address the needs of an autistic child. They had a T.V in the room and it was turned to the Food Network. My son was obviously nervous so I asked them if they could turn to something age appropriate. The hygienist asked what about Kelly Clarkson's talk show; I told her that he did not know who Kelly Clarkson was, plus what 14-year-old boy watches Kelly Clarkson. She asked the x-ray tech to put something on and she replied that she didn't know the different channels. I assume they must not work with children/teens. They left and the dentist entered the room along with a different assistant. While she introduced him, he did not introduce himself to me or shake my hand/fist bump. I told him my son was autistic and I contemplated whether I should stay. He muttered something about he would be fine. He was not reassuring, more irritated because I was in the room. He told me I could wait in the waiting room. I assumed after he was done with my son's exam, he would speak to me, however, his assistant retrieved me from the waiting room and went over the treatment plan. I could see that he was back in his office; he did not speak to me. As the assistant explained the treatment plan I told her I would not return due to the dentist's poor bedside manner. He acted as if he was too good to speak to me. I am not sure if that was because I had mentioned I was a Veteran, because my son was autistic or because I am a black woman. It could be because he is a general jerk. But I refuse to return to Aspen Dental and demand an apology.
