I have been with my dental hygienist and my dentist for years. I feel they are friends as well as excellent health care workers. My dentist watches out for any potential problem she may see, and carefully monitors it.. I really trust her to make the right decisions for me. And my hygienist also gives good advice on how to take the best care of my teeth.

I showed up for a routine cleaning/checkup (which my insurance says I get for free, twice a year) and they wanted me to pay over $200 for the appointment, up front. I have had this service for free for decades. All the other dentists I've been to don't double charge the way Prairie View does. Price gouging is dishonest.

This was my first visit to Prairie View Dental. From the very first phone call for an appointment with the receptionist,
to the dental assistant, to the Dentist and out it was the Best dental visit I have ever had. Everyone is pleasant, professional and affordable! This is my new Fental office. Also Skin care,
facials, and fillers are available with an Estatician.

My only complaint is that they are not in-network for Delta Dental, the insurance carried by almost all NIU employees. NIU is, by far, the largest employer in the area. Seems VERY silly.

Had a slight dental emergency and was treated like a long time client. Everyone friendly. Changing my dentist to these guys.

Been to many dentists, by far the best one I have been too. They are very kind and considerate for someone like me that has anxiety about going to the dentist.

Dentist seems okay. Lady up at all front desk who handles insurance seems a little disorganized and unprofessional. A little challenging to communicate with. Office is modern. Dentist doctor okay. Be careful about how the lady up front handles your insurance. Double check up on her to make sure she is doing her job the right way. Will probably look for another dentist. I am used to much better treatment and communication with the people who handles the insurance

when I was looking for a new dental place for my son I called prairie view to find out if they were in my network for insurance and if they did indeed take my insurance. The lady on the phone assured me that they were in that work and took my insurance she told me that I have what would have a portion of the bill that I would have to pay but it was a minimal amount. When my son had his wisdom teeth removed and I was sent a bill for over $2,500 after insurance I hit the floor. several months of dealing with this trying to get my insurance to pay more and then ultimately finding out that it was because they are not in our Network really infuriates me. I have called prairie view to try to get them to negotiate possibly a lower fee due to the miscommunication from their office and was flatly told no they sent my son's Bill to the collection department. this place will not negotiate with you they will not take a payment they have no mercy at all for any one's individual circumstance. I feel like I have been misled by their office in telling me that they were in our Network and took our insurance when they are really not in anyone's Network. If you are to say one thing and then charge another isn't that called bait and switch? And isn't that illegal? I have no problems with the services that were performed I have a problem with the way that they belittle their customers when there's a payment involved. prairie view should really think about how their customers situations are and handle them quite differently than they do . now I'm out $2,500 when I could have paid a third of that with it being in network they lied and now we're paying a hefty price for it! For this I do not recommend going to prairie view dental. They just DON'T CARE
