Had my first appointment today. Very impressed with the friendly staff! They were accommodating to my special needs. I brought my husband in also. He is handicapped and the staff were so kind and accommodating! We will definitely have Bismarck Dentistry care for our dental needs going forward!

I LOVE my dentist and all of the staff!! Lindsey is the best hygienist and so friendly! They remember my name and face, even after not seeing them for months. Dr. Van Buskirk is the most gentle dentist I have ever had, and really cares about the comfort of his patients. I had intense anxiety about going to the dentist and had put it off for over 10 years... finally broke down and “had” to go... so glad I found them! Thank you for being my dental team. ❤️

Bismarck Dentistry bakes delicious cookies for its patients and has heated, vibrating chairs, which sounds like it would be an expensive experience, but I shopped around a few places, and found them to be comparable or lower in price.
Even with those perks, my favorite thing about going is Dr. Dan and his staff. They have a very positive and upbeat environment that feels so welcoming.
They are also able to not only do routine dental procedure but also more complex procedures like root canals so I didn't have to pay an extra price to get a recommendation at a different place.

Dr. Van Buskirk spent a lot of time with me discussing options regarding my treatment plan. He explained things to me that no other dentist ever mentioned. It is obvious that he strives to do the best quality work around.
My cleaning was the best ever! I have had high anxiety with other hygienists but Lindsay was very calming and gentle yet thorough. I highly recommend Bismarck Dentistry.

Bismarck Dentistry is the most amazing office you will ever visit! Dr. Van Buskirk takes the time to explain all procedures and does not leave you guessing what needs to be done to better your health. Lindsey the hygienist provided me with the most comfortable cleaning I have ever had! The whole office is so welcoming. This is the last dentist I will ever need!

Are you looking for a dentist office where they are friendly and are Grade A on teeth? Well this is the place for you. All the equipment is up to date and not in any sense was my appointment painful. All the staff there is so nice; they don't treat you like cattle, but just as you would want to be treated. As a pre-dental student, they were very informative to what my future has in store for me. So 10/10 I will definitely be going back.

I am relatively new to Bismarck and needed an emergency appointment for my mother in-law who had a really terrible toothache while she was visiting us. Bismarck Dentistry made an appointment immediately and took really good care of her. Within an hour she was feeling better and had a follow up appointment. The staff is so warm and kind, and Dr. Daniel Van Buskirk is amazing!! I quickly got my own appointment and made one for my husband too. So glad to have such a great dentist close by. Two thumbs up for Bismarck Dentistry!!! God bless you all and the practice.

Best dentist I've ever been to. Very professional, great atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff. It felt more like going to a spa than going to the dentist. They have vibrating, heated chairs, Sonic teeth cleaning and up to date x-ray machines. No pain or discomfort.

I'll first start by saying I loved the hygienist who cleaned my teeth every time I went in! It is the only reason why I kept going back.
First: At some point between my last two routine cleanings, Bismarck Dentistry became a "nonparticipating dentist" for my insurance provider. I was not informed via a phone call or when I went in for my latest cleaning. Once I checked out, I was told I needed to pay in full $158 for an oral exam and cleaning. The receptionist told me my insurance was no longer a preferred insurance provider and that Bismarck Dentistry sent me a letter in the mail that I never received. It was sent to an address I lived at almost 2 years ago, which I have had multiple cleanings since then and have had all of my insurance paperwork sent to me at my correct address. I really did think my info was up to date. I also thought they could have asked me if my contact information was up to date during any one of my last 4 visits. I paid in full, and the secretary told me I would be getting an insurance check in the mail. I ended up paying 3/4 out of pocket.
When I first met the Dr., he came in on a day they were closed to emergency extract an upper wisdom tooth of mine. After the extraction, he scheduled me for another two extractions. After my second top extraction, he moved on to my lower wisdom tooth. He said dentists don't typically remove lower wisdom teeth because they normally need to be surgically removed (*mine was impacted), but he must have been confident in his abilities because he said he "could save me money" if he removed my lower. I was given a shot numbing agent and he successfully cracked and pulled out the tooth then put stitches in. After the lower extraction, I followed the care plan, but I was in a lot of pain and was not prescribed any pain medication. After a few days, my pain was so unbearable I was crying. I went in to get it looked at the next day, & was told I had a dry socket in my lower area. The Dr. was great about having me come in and get clove dressings stuffed in the extraction hole daily for almost a week. It did help my pain, but I started getting ill. It felt like I had a cold; fever, sneezing, coughing- and I was off work for an entire week. When I asked the doctor about it, he said the extraction did not have anything to do with me being sick. I trusted him, but I do believe it was because of an improper extraction.
I had another lower wisdom tooth to get extracted. I went in to get a cleaning months after the previous wisdom tooth extraction, and the Dr. recommended I get it extracted from an oral surgeon. Maybe he changed his mind about performing lower extractions. I got the tooth extracted, was sent home with a package of care instructions, a script for pain medication, and it was a completely different experience, so I would absolutely never get your bottom wisdom teeth extracted from your dentist.
My last cleaning- the hygienist cleaned my teeth, and it was time for the Dr. to come in to do the oral exam. He finished the exam and then asked if I had any issues, and I said when I ate sugary foods, I had a slight pain in between two of my molars. He then looked back in my mouth and after only looking for 5 seconds, he told me I needed a crown. At that point and after the whole wisdom tooth ordeal, I felt like I needed a second opinion because I did not trust his judgment and felt he only wanted money. He also told me it would be best I get a GOLD ($$) crown. Good thing I didn't go for that or I would have also had to pay 3/4 of the bill probably because of my now non-preferred insurance. So at that point I was done.
Almost every time I went there for a cleaning, one of the hygienists would try selling me Invisalign. I am leaving this dentist with the thought that they are a business who just wants to make money, and I really hate thinking that but it truly is how I feel. I have talked to the Dr. about hunting, fishing, and other hobbies and he is very cool & easy to talk to, but I did leave there feeling like I should have gotten second opinions on certain things.

I had the best experience I have had to date in a dental office. The location is beautiful and the staff was exceptional. They also have great taste in music and the office smells nothing like the typical dentist which helps when you have a slight fear of the dentist! I will be recommending this office to anyone looking for a new dentist!
