I am the parent of a fairly rambunctious 5 year old boy...and all I can say is Dr Nickravesh and her team are awesome!! My son is completely comfortable in the office throughout the exam, and they go above and beyond to make sure the visit is completely enjoyable for him and me as well!! He has had to have some work done on his teeth, including a root canal :(, and even after that I am constantly asked "When can I go to the dentist mommy?" I have even recently moved out of Redding, but am more than willing to travel back up there for my kid's appointments. I would 100% recommend Dr. Nickravesh to any parent I meet! They are honest, courteous, and all around great people! I have always had my bill explained to me prior to charges, including what my insurance will cover and the subsequent copay...they make sure they are completely transparent, even sitting down with me and explaining it step by step.... Seriously, look no further, this doctor and staff is EXCELLENT for kids..

I would give Zero stars if possible. I will never take my child back even if she was the only dentist on my plan. She is not patient with kids who have fears or special needs. The staff all have headsets and talk to each other rather than to the patient or patients parents.
The worst part is that the tooth she allegedly fixed ended up with an abscess and the teeth she was going to do at a 2nd appointment were in better condition.
I'm so surprised that someone who specializes in kids lacks the patience to deal with kids and their fear.

Dr. Nickravesh and her staff have always been professional and accommodating. My 10 year old daughter is not fearful. Fantastic personalized care. Dr. Nickravesh will even call her clients for follow up if needed. We couldn't be happier.

This office is wonderful, I have had issues with my sons teeth and took him to a different dentist they made the experience horrible, so he was very scared to go to another. I found Dr. Sheva's office after doing lots of research, the first time he went they were patient and understanding with him, he left with a smile on his face, the second time was for 2 root canals on his back baby teeth :(. If anyone has ever had a root canal you can imagine how scary it is for a 5 year old, the staff was very professional and understanding the whole time, yes my kid did scream (I'm sure he scared some kids in the waiting room) but no I do not believe it was because of any sort of pain, he was just scared, we left the office with no tears they did a fantastic job on his teeth and he was up and running around like nothing happened later that day after the medication wore off. We recently had to go back to the dentist for a hurt tooth 1 year later, my son was nervous because of the root canal but I assured him that wasn't going to happen, once there he sat in the waiting room ( lots of kids activities) it never really takes long the office has great time management and he was happy to go back with the assistant and tell her what was going on while I finished up paperwork, This office has made my child feel safe and secure, as a mom it is hard to find a company so willing to work with the kid and create that special bond from the office staff to the dentist everyone I have met there has been wonderful.

Please do not take your kids here! At first I thought Dr. Nickravesh was great, but this has been a total nightmare. Around October the doctor said my son needed some cavities filled and recommended he be put under general anesthesia. I had a horrible feeling about it, but she said because he had dental anxiety it would be more traumatic if he was awake. So I agreed and made the appointment. Before the appointment came up my son developed and abscess over a tooth she had previously worked on so I called the office and they perscribed him antibiotics and said they would take care of the infection while he was under anesthesia. After the appt I asked her what she did about the infection and she looked at me like I was crazy and took another look in his mouth and admitted that she didn't realize there was an abscess.
When we got home he spiked a fever of 104 and had a low grade fever after that for about 6 days. I am not sure if that was related to the dental work or not.
She tried to make it right and offered to fix the tooth so a couple weeks later we went back in and he had the tooth she thought was infected pulled. 12 days later he still has the abscess and so I take him in and she basically tells me that she pulled the wrong tooth!!! My heart is broken for my little guy that he has had to go through all of this.
She has a lot of great reviews and is a nice person, but something is wrong here, it is not worth the risk!

Dr Nickracesh and her staff are amazing! She was recommended by a coworker of my husband. My son had been turned away by 4 different dentists and I was at my wits end. As a last hope we drove an hour from Burney to see dr nickravesh. To help us save money she got the x-rays from his previous dentist instead of requiring new ones. She made him (and me) feel very comfortable. After one of his fillings he ended up ducking on his lip and made it swell. I called the after hours line and got in direct contact with the dr. She asked me to text her pictures and told me what to do. I have since taken my 2 youngest kids straight to her for their 1st check ups instead of trying to go through multiple drs until I find one I like. I don't even care that she is out of our network, I'll pay a little more to get a better experience. Her staff is so friendly and helpful too! Thank you

If anyone is looking for a dentist, I absolutely love this office. I get a mom hug from Sheva everytime and she is truly amazing, much more than just a dentist. She is concerned with my childrens whole wellbeing. We got a sleep study referral for both boys...different reasons...because she talks to the boys and actually Listens to their answers. The whole office is great. They put in great thought on how to make them as comfortable as possible each visit. Highly recommended.

Excellent Dental work and the staff are great with fearful kids. I'm totally satisfied with the medical care.
BUT - I completely agree with others who have had troubles with the billing. The billing and front desk staff are very friendly but have shown no competence, and can't produce a proper receipt that would be acceptable for submitting to my insurance.
Don't pay or agree to service until you've seen a clear, itemized bill!! I've been working for months to get a receipt and it's holding up my other medical payments.

Dr. Nickravesh’s office offers bpa free composite for children’s fillings. This was of particular importance to me when I was looking for a pediatric dentist for my child. My child’s teeth look great and I am very happy with our experience there.
