Soothing Dental

I was so excited and grateful to find a dentist who created their own insurance policy. I started here in 2017 and was desperate to get dental care, especially at what seemed to be reasonable costs.
The people in the office are great (except Nancy at the front), but I don’t need great people I need great dentists. Besides the rates tripling over the 5 years the care has declined. Recently they wanted to replaced 3 crowns because Dr. Saeidi wanted to replace fillings underneath (I didn’t have any pain so just went on trusting her opinion). For starters, removing 2 of them (since we did one side at a time) took almost 3 hours?! Then it too 2-3 WEEKS to have the permanents made. I used to get dental care in Mexico and they would make permanent crowns in the same day. To think a fancy office in San Francisco charging top dollar needs 2-3 weeks! In this particular case one of the crowns didn’t fit right so it was another 2-3 weeks to get the permanent—all in all I was in a temporary crown for 6 weeks, during which time I was not allowed to floss it or hydro pick…Not surprisingly I started getting an infection which spanned multiple teeth and got into my sinuses. I was in there on a Friday before the infection got really bad, despite Dr. Deghani saying antibiotics would probably be a good idea he did not prescribe them. It ended up being a terrible weekend with lots of pain pills and they didn’t get antibiotics to me until the next Tuesday. For anyone who has had a dental infection these things flare up quick and nasty. I blame the 6 weeks of a temporary crown and funky tooth underneath and not being allowed to clean it as the culprit. It all felt very negligent, to the point of even wondering if I needed the 3 crowns replaced. They didn’t think it was a big deal and just wanted to give me 2 more root canals. Ugh. The good side is they are always available for appointments…but then again, is that good? The power of having their own insurance is they can name whatever prices they want. So I might be saving 40% on a root canal but they’ve inflated their preinsurance costs much high it ends up being a wash. Well played soothing dental. I used to feel good walking in there, at the end I felt like a dollar sign.

I went to a new dentist, he remarked that it’s a terrible idea to put a gold tooth next to (or across from) an amalgam filling which they had just done. There was already some evidence of plating from having these 2 metals next to each other. Spent 2 grand and 6 weeks in temporaries only to have to go spend more to undo this mess. I absolutely do not recommend soothing dental.

UPDATE: I had a very negative experience with Soothing Dental upon my second visit and will not be returning.

They are conveniently close to downtown, and did a great job with the fillings I needed.

They also offer several promotion, which include fun perks like free Starbucks gift cards.

Pro tip: There is no entertainment in the chairs, so be sure to bring headphones (preferably sound canceling) for any longer procedures.

I recently had my first appointment at Soothing Dental. Dr. Sona Saedidi was very nice, explained each part of the process, and asked questions about my dental anxiety to help understand how to alleviate it, and listened well. Very knowledgeable and professional.

I have done my root canal, crown and check up with cleaning so far. All the dentists and staffs here are so friendly, caring and make me feel comfortable. I used to get very scared of dental clinic but now I don't.
All the treatment was good and satisfying so far.
I already recommended this dentistry to my friends.

Absolutely fantastic. I’ve been coming here for over two years. I moved to the bay and saw the faceboook adds and was willing to give it a shot just for the sake of trying out the free Uber ride to and from your appointments.I assumed that they might be over investing in marketing, ads, and the kitschy elements of the business at the expense of quality but this has proven not to be the case. The hygienists and dentists are extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and they use the latest and greatest technology (full mouth 3D scans, laser density measurement etc) in their dental cleaning and other treatments. The office is convenient, beautiful, welcoming, and relaxing; wait times are extremely short, they aren’t pushy about what they offer, and my teeth are in great shape. I will definitely keep coming back and I would and have recommended soothing to anyone else looking for a new dental practice.

I have been to many dentist’s and just gotta say Dr. Saeidi, Nancy, Stella and her entire team were fabulous. I highly recommend.

I had two visits at the Soothing Dental this year and both were five-star experiences to me. Earlier this year, Dr. Saeidi cemented a crown for me and her work was flawless. I also got a root canal done by Dr. Dehghani recently which was another phenomenal experience. I have been satisfied with the results of my dental work so far. Both doctors are highly skilled and professional, explain everything thoroughly and make the patients feel at ease and comfortable. The staff of the clinic are also super friendly and helpful.

Amazing, wonderful, caring staff--Marisa in particular is a tremendous gift as a new hygienist. Stella is my go-to person for all things deep cleaning, and I really consider her a friend and coach. Dr. Yang is truly magical with anesthesia and patient communications--she is the first deeply gifted dentist I've ever come across, born to the practice, someone I really feel has a calling, deeply compassionate and sensitive. Dr. Ganji is a skilled craftsman with fillings and occlusion repair. His work lasts years, and he is frank and honest with his findings.

I am a difficult patient with very high gum sensitivity. Over the years these partners have worked hard to find and maintain the magic recipe to keep me free from pain and in top dental health. I couldn't recommend them more highly. I live two hours' commute from them now, but I return every year because I trust them and hope to keep coming for many years ahead.

Love Soothing Dental! They are always professional, courteous, and helpful. I've been with them for more than a year now, and always have a pleasant experience. Nancy at the front desk is always great about scheduling, and my technician Stella is great as well!

Great overall experience. My fave SF dentist I’ve used thus far.
