I just switched dentists to Islay Hill and today was my first visit, an exam and a cleaning. They were friendly and helpful from my arrival until the time I left. Dr. Walters was professional and explained every aspect of the exam to me. The hygienist did a great job while I watched TV on the ceiling! Highly recommended.

Islay Hill Dentistry Co. was recommended to me by a co-worker and I am absolutely grateful! This office can only be described as a welcoming, comfortable, and peaceful place. Michelle made me feel at home from the moment I walked in. Dr. Walters and his assistant were thorough yet comforting when it came to my cleaning and x-rays. Tell your friends about this wonderful dental office - I know I will! :)

It was my first visit to Islay Hills. Everyone was very welcoming and helpful. Dr Walters was very nice and conversational making the visit very comfortable. He was very thorough with his exam and had good follow up advice. Meghan did xrays for me. She was very efficient and kind. Christi assisted the process with gum measurements and answered questions willingly. Grace and Mariah handled everything from greeting to checking in to escorting to exam rooms to checking out and making a follow up appointment with ease. Everyone was very professional. I’m so glad I took my friend’s advice and called them.

I recently discovered Islay Hill Dentistry and couldn't be happier. I have so many good things to say about my experience so far. The space is clean and cozy. All employees are nice and communicative. The dentist is extremely knowledgeable and takes the time to listen to any concerns and also explains every step during the visit. Yesterday I had 5 fillings completed within one hour. He didn't leave my side! It was such a pleasant experience. I've had alot of work done and have seen many different dentist's and this has by far been the best. I highly recommend. I can't forget the best part... This office believes in a more holistic approach to dentistry and has a mindful practice. This means the world to me! Finally a dentist that didn't look at me like I was crazy about coconut pulling or the use of essential oils. I truly appreciate this blessing to our community. Thank you Dr. Walters!

I'm a huge fan of Islay Hill Dentistry! They run a tight ship with appointments that start on time, electronic forms, great engagement with my kids, and top notch technology. They pay attention to special touches-- environmentally friendly toothbrushes and toothpaste, little cloth bags instead of all that plastic, and a bright, welcoming atmosphere. I especially love watching the "moving art" option during my cleaning. Look no further, this is the best dental office in SLO.

Let's face it, the dentist isn't everyone's favorite place to go, and I definitely waited to long before visiting Islay hill. I am SO glad this is the office I chose for so many reasons. Their covid protocols can't be beat. They are a green/eco friendly facility, using only the safest tools and ingredients in everything that will touches you. The staff is beyond warm, the waiting room and facilities are the cutest and cleanest I've seen ever. I'm about to do their Kor whitening system and can't wait to see the results. I can't believe I found this amazing gem on the central coast. Highly recommended!!

Highlights:
- GREEN dentistry. I didn't know this was possible but they are certified.
- Beautiful clean office. Brand new and modern
- State of the art equipment that is quiet and not scary.
- Extremely friendly staff, hygienist offered great insight about brushing habits.
- TV on wall, and on ceiling for those who get nervous this is a great distraction.
- I didn't not choose this option, but they also have noise cancelling headphones and weighted blankets for anxiousness.

Absolutely my favorite adult dentist I've been to. Dr. Walters is friendly yet straight forward. The whole office staff is incredibly welcoming and you can tell they put a ton of work into making this a destination for people to feel relaxed in. Clean warm white interior with luxe finishes that look expensive but not pretentious.

They accept a lot of insurances and if you aren't sure their staff can check for you.

An incredibly small detail, but something that changed my oral hygiene regimen for the better is the coco floss they use. It's biodegradable, but strong and thick, it doesn't cut your gums and it comes in fruit flavors for kids. I used to try and floss everyday, but my gums were very sensitive. This changed everything, and now I floss daily.

Hands down best dental practice in SLO.

I’ve never left wondering what happened during my visit and what the best follow up procedures will further the health of my dental needs.
