I'll be honest, I don't like going to the dentist. There's something about sitting with your mouth agape for an hour while someone pokes and prods that I'm just not a big fan of. That and I have pretty sensitive teeth, so the cleaning is usually painful.
While I still don't exactly get excited to go to the dentist, I have never found a practice that I've felt so comfortable with which has actually made me go twice a year like I'm supposed to. The front office staff is great, the dental hygienist that I saw today was an absolute gem, and Dr. Brandt is super personable. I discussed my sensitive teeth with my hygienist this morning and I have never had such a pain-free cleaning experience.
Dr. Brandt's office is also great about the details. They send you email reminders a week or so in advance with an option to get another email reminder days before your appointment. The office itself is wonderful with all kinds of magazines to keep you occupied while you wait. They are also very punctual, which seems to be exceptionally rare in the medical field.
I still don't love going to the dentist, but I know for certain I will never enjoy it more than I do at Dr. Brandt's office.
