I was dreading getting a crown. My experience was nothing like I had anticipated. Dr. Bob is the “Best” at giving shots. I felt nothing, not even a pinch. The numbness wears off faster so my face wasn’t numb all afternoon. He has great technology and my crown was complete in 2 hours. I love the staff. They are professional and make you feel at home. Every experience I’ve had Horizon Dental has been positive and my dental health is better than ever. I have been looking for a new dentist for a couple of years. I found where I’ll be staying.

Having issues with my teeth for a majority of my life, I always struggled with finding security in my smile. Until I found Horizon Dental Care Dr. Johnson and the staff. They gave me my confidence and security back within more than just my smile.
The staff as well as Bob keep up with personal aspects of my own life and my family’s. Not only do I look forward to going too the dentist now, I am ecstatic to see the staff who treats me as if I’m family.

Are you supposed to have fun at the dentist? Rhonda is awesome, and she has never hurt me. Well not much. The staff and care there make the difference.

This is my second review but can't stop bragging on Dr Bob and the staff. You go in and they treat you like you are part of the family. Besides the great work and professionalism, they are truly concerned about how you are doing. You don't feel like just another another appointment they have to get through. They are great!

I first met Dr. Bob while doing some home maintenance and repair services for his neighbor then he a couple years ago. We've become friends and in the past, I asked him a few questions about some dental problems I had . He told me to make an appointment so he could assess whatever I had going on. I have been emotionally scarred by past dentists to the point I'm shaking and drenched in sweat when I arrive for an appointment and it has become something I avoid at all costs. Well, my minor problems started getting bigger and Dr. Bob convinced me to come see him. You know that feeling you get when you're in good hands? That's how I felt walking in. One of the first things I noticed is that nobody was in a hurry. Each person I encountered took time to genuinely engage with me. Dr. Bob spent far more time with me than what I'm accustomed to, explaining why my teeth look and feel how they do, what my options were and the next steps. On the day of my procedure, I was uneasy. The shot is easy but the drilling makes me cringe. I conveyed my fears to which Merrill- the dental assistant- began offering reassurances that I was in good hands. Dr. Bob gathered details about my anxiety and offered simple solutions. No detail was spared. The relaxed atmosphere was calming. He used a vibrating syringe to change the way my brain feels the shot (or doesn't feel). He gave me headphones to drown out the noise of his instruments; not the cheap, Walkman foam puff-ball headphones but superior-quality, over-the-entire-ear, noise concealing, hear nothing else- headphones. I told them to get my attention if they needed me to respond because I heard nothing otherwise. I closed my eyes and relaxed. He made sure I was pain-free throughout and the one single time I was briefly uncomfortable, he stopped and re-anesthitized. He told me at the start, "You're in control" which ive heard before but actually believed this time. At one point, he placed a wedge in between my upper and lower teeth to hold my mouth open and I actually dozed off for a few moments. Granted the nitrous had something to do with it, the professional care of the Horizon Dental Care team took me from my previous dentist refusing to treat me unless sedated to FALLING ASLEEP during a procedure, in one visit. On the way out, I was nearly in tears because I had pretty much accepted pain and sensitivity to avoid seeing a dentist who was more concerned with seeing as many patients as possible in a day than the actual patient. Dr Bob is concerned with one thing: his patients. Not just their teeth but the whole patient. And it shows in the outstanding care he and his team provide. Highly recommended.

Anti-Dentist people have no fear! I’ve never been a huge fan of dentists. But Dr Bob Johnson & his staff at Horizon are the best. He is quick and professional and very gentle. Does great work all of the time. You have nothing to fear if you see Dr Bob!

Very professional staff. If you ever need a dentist or hygienist, this is the place to go. They make you feel very comfortable.
