It's hard to find out by just looking at their website, but this practice is essentially a chain (see Edgewater modern dentistry and read the reviews there too to understand what these practices are like). It's a business based on quantity over quality.

After my visit here, I decided on a second opinion, as it felt like a used car sale from the beginning with their use of scare tactics, and have been to two other practices since. Both laughed this place's workup and estimate off. I was even encouraged by one office to report malpractice/negligence to the state dental board after they saw what they wanted to do.

They will insist on a deep cleaning($$$) and will not perform a regular cleaning citing that it alone would not be safe. Avoid the headache and go somewhere else. This felt like a used car sale, not medical care. But, that is fitting given all the surrounding car dealerships. Friendly staff, but hard to find them trustworthy as a whole.

I’m totally satisfied with my first visit with Dr. Sarah….. She has shown me nothing but absolute professionalism with it.

The entire staff was very friendly and professional. I needed a cleaning, it had been more than 3 years. I called for an appointment and was able to get in the next day. They did an excellent job and were not high pressure on me to repair some problems that I have but explained the costs of the procedures very carefully for my future needs. I am going to sign up for their in house plan and go back regularly.

I’ve had good experiences at Lakewood Dentists, as I’ve been there several times working through an implant process. The staff there is very professional and takes the time to explain dental procedures and billing. I’ve also had a very good experience with the Hygienist there named Sarah. She’s very nice and takes the time to explain dental hygiene practices!

I love this office! Every one from the front desk to the dentists that I have seen are absolutely wonderful! They are able to work around my work schedule and get my son and I in usually the next day with the latest appts. They take time to explain work needed and do very thorough cleanings. My son had to have his wisdom teeth out last year and it was such a smooth experience for both of us.

By far the most needlessly expensive dental work I’ve ever experienced.
$3.5K+ for a root canal and crown. Was told another $3K for an extraction.
All of the financial options that were explained were confusing and felt like I had to make immediate decisions while reclined in a dental chair.
Eventually got the extraction for a little under $300 and the X-rays at the new dentist prompted the new doctor to comment on how the crown was faulty and there was infection that the root canal left behind. I asked what a root canal and crown would be at the new dentist and without hesitation I was quoted a little over $800 with no fancy hard to understand jargon or sales pitch. Wow, what a concept! All of that at the new dentist was corrected (a new crown to replace the one that had infection under it) for under $1,500 cash total and included exams, X-rays, and two cleanings and a filling over the period of 6 months.
The one visit to Lakewood cost over $3,500 and another $3K would have been the next visit.
Two stars though for the friendly staff… if you can afford it, then knock yourself out.
This was all about three years ago. It’s the end of the year and I’m cleaning out old receipts for year end prep on tax work. Finding their paperwork prompted this review.

After 70+ years of dental visits, I finally found a dental office I actually like to go to. The office staff is always gracious and professional. The atmosphere is bright and cheerful. The dental care is all encompassing so we do not have to go from office to office....a real + in my book. I have had cleanings, check ups, 2 teeth extracted, and will be getting 2 implants. The education and explanations provided are very helpful. I am so glad to have found Lakewood Dentists because I will never have to go "dentist shopping" again.

I love coming here! Everyone is always so helpful and very friendly, AND the best part is they’re very transparent about any charges that might accrue during the visit. Very much appreciated and I highly recommend coming here if you’re looking for a dentist. Dr. Endress is very kind, as well as the front desk :) thank you all!

This place is really great. I mean, really. I went to Perfect Teeth before which is also a nice place, but one visit alone has made me decide to switch dental offices. Highly recommend. Receptionists, techs, and Dr. Endress are extremely friendly and receptive. Never had a better experience at a dental office, everything went together well. They also have more advanced technology than places like Perfect Teeth and take most insurance (:
