I am very displeased with my experience at Woodland Park Dental Group. I came in for a routine introductory x-ray, exam and cleaning that costs $69. They forgot all about my cleaning but charged me for the cleaning. I called the same day asking for a refund for the services not rendered and the clinic manager said she would do so immediately. She did not offer to reschedule the cleaning. The DVM referred me to a specialist for a root canal, which I had done. I was scheduled to return to WPDG to get a cap placed on my root canal. I did not receive my refund from the previous botched visit and did not receive any communication as to how we would arrange a tooth cleaning prior to my cap placement. I did get a conformation call for my cap placement appointment. At this point I was frustrated because my money was still being held in accounts, my teeth had not been cleaned and I was concerned that they intended to put a cap on dirty teeth. I canceled my cap placement appointment and asked again for my refund of $40, the cost of services not rendered in the initial appointment. At this point, several weeks after asking for the refund, the manager told me she would have to issue a check from accounts which would come in the mail and may take a couple weeks. I accepted and waited several more weeks. I contacted the clinic again, at this point feeling very angry and frustrated. I was informed that the refund was still in accounts and that it would be processed right away. I finally received my refund check in the mail approximately 3 months after the initial visit. Because nobody reached out to me regarding the situation or offered to reschedule the tooth cleaning and I felt that I was being avoided regarding the accounts issue, I lost all confidence in this clinics ability to provide good medicine and am forced to seek service somewhere else.
Review follow-up: After posting this review, Shawna, the clinic manager left the tone-deaf response below and to add insult to injury called me with-in 24hrs of my review posting to relay this insufficient response. Shawna appears to be incapable of seeing the bigger picture of my complaint. I payed cash for this appointment and told Shawna that I did not want my insurance billed for the introductory exam. All she had to do was give that refund as I asked on the same day of that first and only appointment. My uncapped tooth is now broken and I will need to have it extracted. She asked if they could do anything to resolve the situation. I suggested that they extract my broken tooth free of charge. She said she would look into the record, investigate the situation further and get back to me with an answer on my suggested resolution. It has now been six days with no further communication from this clinic and my tooth is still broken down the middle with a loose imbedded slab that is working it's way out and bleeding. Soon I will only have half a tooth. Once again, I feel this clinic has decided to ignore my concerns and hope the problem just goes away. All of this could have been avoided if the dental technician had remembered that my appointment included a cleaning and if Shawna had returned my money on the day the mistake was made as I requested.

Shawna, It has now been 2 weeks (14 days) since we last spoke. 1/3 of my tooth has come out leaving the remaining crown and roots. You seem far more interested in making excuses than taking responsibility for your part in this situation. I find it very inappropriate that you are communicating with me on Google Review instead of making a good faith effort to resolve this issue privately and in a timely manner. I am tired of you obfuscating the issue and giving me the run around. This is highly unprofessional and insulting.

It was my first time to this office, and I didn't know what to expect. Cindy introduced herself and she succeeded in putting me to ease. She was very warm and friendly, and was gentle with my procedures. I am very pleased.

Dr. Mussone did a crown on me a month ago and I have had no issues. I also was not in the Chair for an extended period of time which to me is important because my work schedule is very tight. The staff is great and the office is beautiful.

I am so pleased with the dental care I receive at this office. The staff is friendly and efficient. I love my hygienist, she is thorough and cares about my dental health. She always gives me tips to improve my dental health and she is detailed in her assessment and exam. The dentists I have seen here are wonderful too!

They did excellent work on my teeth. They are great people to work with, especially the hygienist that did the cleaning for me. She was very entertaining the whole time I was in the chair. It was as fun an appointment as a dental visit could be. they really worked to help make me feel comfortable.

And Dr. Effinger helped by answering my millions of questions with such a great attitude. This office is just awesome! And that is appreciated!!

I started going to WP Dental group last Spring. Having not been to the dentist for a while my teeth were some what of a train wreck! They have listened to my concerns and we worked on a plan together to get them into recovery! Everyone has been extremely nice and have made it a pleasant experience. I highly recommend them!
