UPDATE 3/21/23 - I originally gave this office a 5 star review (see review below). However, I have to say that I am very disappointed in the events that transpired. The office manager called on the day of my scheduled cleaning (I had scheduled this appt 6 months earlier) to cancel due to emergency. These things happen and I understood this. I assumed they would work those few people they had to cancel into the schedule over the next few weeks. Unfortunately, this was not the case. I was given the 'next available' appointment 4 months from now. I was shocked that the office manager did not commit to working me in as it was them who canceled the appointment. Being a Dentist office, they should understand the importance of getting cleanings every 6 months, and to push me out to 10 months because of something they did, made me upset. I voiced my frustration on the call, but they were not willing to make a single accommodation for the issue that they created. They told me I could go on a cancellation list. I travel often and told them that March was out of the question as I would be out of town. But the office called not once, but twice while I was on vacation, even though I asked them not to. When I arrived home today, I got an unsigned letter from the office telling me they are no longer willing to have me as a patient. I find it shocking that the Office Manager would not understand my frustration at their unwillingness to schedule me, and even more shocking that they canceled my care. I will admit that after the 3rd call, I was frustrated, and not friendly on the phone, and was very transparent with my frustration. But I have never no-showed to any appointment, and I have paid all balances promptly. So for them to send me a letter canceling me, due to issues arising from their cancellation, I am just honestly very upset about this. I really like Dr. Coakley and both of us being from Michigan and associated with the University of Michigan was a nice connection. I actually even contacted the office to find out what insurance they would recommend during our open enrollment last year to make sure that me and my husband could be patients of Dr. Coakley.
Given these events, and the office staff's unwillingness to work me in, and to have a total lack of compassion for my frustration given the issue that they caused, I have to downgrade my review from a 5 star to a 1 star and I would not recommend this office if you expect professional staff who take care of their patients.

I love Sugars End Dental! Everyone was so polite, and there was no pressure for add on services/products. The office is so clean and waiting room is comfortable - I love the decor. Glad I found Sugars End!

Made an appointment to have a tooth that's been causing me much pain recently checked out. I don't currently have insurance, so I was really just looking to see what my next step was. They understood completely, took only the one needed X-Ray, told me what I needed to have done along with out-of-pocket costs and the codes I need to check with potential insurance companies to ensure they'll cover the needed procedure. They made it super easy and it took no time at all. Very friendly staff, too. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a dentist in the area!
