Dr. Adachi and his staff are the best! My whole family goes to them for all our dental needs. They are super friendly, caring, and helpful. We never have to wait more than 5 minutes for our appointments. Dr. Adachi has very gentle hands. We feel that we always receive the best care. We wouldn't think of going anywhere else!

Dr. Gerald Adachi provided me with excellent dental care. He listened to my concern and resolved my problem. I had a darkened front tooth, which another dentist had ignored. Dr. Adachi came to my rescue and now I can happily smile with confidence. No wonder his dentistry is named Kaka'ako Smiles of Honolulu! A dedicated and skilled dentist, Dr. Gerald Adachi has been recognized and awarded for his excellence by the Honolulu Magazine with numerous awards through the years. Dr. Adachi and his staff are tremendous. They are professional and so very helpful. This office is so compassionate and willing to take care of my childʻs dental needs with such short notice without hesitation. Well, being the "typical" elder male, I waited for almost 9 years in between visits with my dentist, Gerald Adachi DDS (Kaka'ako Smiles of Honolulu), for "extensive" dental care... why else would I go! ;) Anyways, being that it was 9 years since my last visit, I was afraid... VERY AFRAID! However, once I got there, I was reminded why I selected Dr. Adachi's office in the first place. First, there were the "same" employees, which, much to my surprise, they remembered me. It was similar to that "Cheers" sitcom, where a customer (also named Norm...really!) walks in the bar, and EVERYONE shouts... "NORM"! The office still had the "family" feel, and did everything in their power to assure me that "I was in good hands." Also noteworthy of mentioning is their steadfast procedures when it comes to making sure that everything remained clean, sanitized, and safe... (their staff was cleaning up after me... like I was a little puppy) ... lol ... well not that bad, but you get the picture! All in all, my visit to Kaka'ako Smiles was as relaxing... as going to the beach! Oh, I almost forgot... the service/care that I received was FANTASTIC! I recommend Kaka'ako Smiles of Honolulu to anyone and everyone!.

Everyone there made me feel welcome. This was my first appointment with them and I felt very comfortable. Everyone was very friendly and attentive. They were all professional and knowledgeable in what they were doing. Their technology was also top of the line compared to my previous dentist. Great service, workers, environment, equipment, dentist... what more could you ask for? Definitely recommend.

came to this office thinking I had found the right and honest dentist, and after the fact that I spend $1500 for a crown that was not functional neither color matched with the rest of my teeth, it came out while at dinner, embarrassing and uncomfortable, he's a man of few words and will not answer much to your questions, the on site dental tech that makes crowns don't speak much English, rather Japanese, not professional as you will smell the cigaret smoke from his fingers in your mouth while working on crown fitment, again my dental insurance was maxed out $4000 on top of that another $1500 out of pocket, and some of the fillings where purely done and he hopped I would keep coming back to "fix" new cavities, I immediately went to another dentist for 2nd opinion and it proved that I had no cavities, Adachi office is in this nice location with high operation cost and we as patient getting milked to pay for his practice. my recommendation is to get a second opinion from another dentist and don't just assume you fund the "right" dentist!!

A few years ago I had a problem with a cracked tooth while visiting Honolulu. Even though I had no appointment he took me in and repaired my tooth so I could enjoy the rest of my stay in Hawaii. Now that’s service! He’s an excellent dentist (best in Honolulu in my opinion) and I highly recommend him. He now has taken on a partner who has excellent references and is a summa cum laude graduate dental school and is very personable and together they will continue a highly professional but with much aloha dental practice. I would encourage anyone to visit kaka’ ako smiles of Honolulu. You will be happy you did!
