The other day I spoke with the friend that referred me to Dr. Barney's office. She has moved from Boise and is now in a different state. I told her how much I loved Dr. Barney and his office and thanked her again for referring him to me. She said, "Oh, I wish I loved my dentist here." Apparently she has not yet found someone to take his place. I appreciated her referring me to some very wonderful professionals.
I love Dr. Barney's office, his staff, dental hygienists etc. They do a great job! Dr. Barney does excellent work, especially. I needed a crown put on a tooth. Prior to our move to Boise I had had crowns put on a couple or three other teeth. My experience with Dr. Barney was wonderful. The tooth was prepared, the mold for the crown was made, the new crown was made --(I even saw the machine that did it), and the crown was put on the tooth and made to fit perfectly, all in one visit! I was amazed and thrilled! Another time I was experiencing some pain on one side of my mouth. I called and reported my situation to the office. Dr. Barney called me back that very day and told me what to do. (What I was experiencing was not tooth-related, but jaw/face pain. He assessed the problem and kindly gave me clear step-by-step instructions to follow, and told me to get back to him if the problem did not go away. I did exactly what he said to do, and within one week's time the pain had gone away -- just as he had predicted.)
I love his family, as well. My daughter became acquainted with one of his daughters. who attended the same high school. Elizabeth admired and wore to a school dance a formal gown that his daughter totally designed and made herself. I was in awe of its beauty and the skill with which it was made. But even more than that, I was so impressed with his daughter's gracious generosity. When Elizabeth returned the dress to their home and was greeted by the youngest little son, she was blown away by his politeness and good manners.

I have had fear of dentists in the past, but I no longer have that extreme anxiety when I visit Brookdale Dental. Sure, I still get an elevated heart rate, but I get that whenever I visit doctors of any kind. Doctor Barney understood my fear when I started visiting him years ago, and he and his staff did everything possible to make sure that I felt comfortable during my visits to his office.

I had a root canal on an eye tooth yesterday morning. I was nervous because it was a front tooth and very visible, and because my husband's experience years ago with another dentist and a root canal was fairly unpleasant. But my experience was completely the opposite. Dr. Barney was quick, professional and did a great job. I never had any pain after the novocaine wore off. Within a few hours of the root canal there was absolutely no visible indication that anything has been done. I couldn't believe it. I highly recommend his services.

Excellent service with a clean, comfortable atmosphere! I've seen Amy (hygienist) a couple of times now and she rocks.
