Some of the workers here are wonderful, and others are absolutely terrible. Megan is by far the sweetest, most talented hygienist I have ever met. She gave me a deep cleaning, and I literally cried because of how happy I was with her work and what she had done for me. Heather is the best person to administer the dreaded numbing injection to date. I barely felt it both times she worked with me, and I couldn't feel a thing once it kicked in! So sweet too! Dr. Hishmeh was wonderful as well. He was very caring, patient, and understanding of my anxiety for never having any dental work done before. He is great at his job, and I don't plan on seeing any other dentist until after he retires. Now, Dr. Thacker is A COMPLETELY different story. She's rude, unprofessional, and doesn't know how to numb (like Heather does). She did my initial inspection and was just awful the whole time. She made some snide remarks about how dirty they were and told Megan "You're going to have fun cleaning THIS girl's teeth," while she was still in my mouth! She was very condescending, and made it a point that she felt she was better than everyone else. She was so snooty. When she left the room, I told Megan that I was offended, and she told me that while Dr. Thacker is good at what she does, she's very "abrupt". (Another worker there told me the same exact thing another time I went). Deep cleaning visit two, Dr. Thacker was the one to numb my mouth since Heather was not there. It was rather painful, and Megan had to stop half-way through the procedure to administer more Novocaine since Thacker didn't do it right. I never want that woman around during any of my appointments ever again. Moving on, Tavin did a horrible job with my fillings. Not only did it take her over an hour for four shallow fillings, but she screwed two of them up and Heather had to come and redo them. She also filed my teeth down too far and didn't bother to polish them after she finished. They don't touch when I close my mouth now, and my teeth are rough and always feel dirty. They look and feel awful. I'm hoping I can get her mistakes fixed during my next visit. BUT, other than those two individuals, everyone and everything else at Gentle Care is phenomenal. The front desk/office staff has been friendly and attentive. They're also great at keeping up with your reminders! I signed up for text reminders, and they are so convenient! I've never been more pleased with how an office has been run. I'm sure this is the best dental practice that accepts Medicaid in Lexington. I will be talking my business there for a long time to come.

My first and only dentist. Dr. Hishmeh and the staff are very friendly. they always make me feel like family. And most importantly, Dr. Hishmeh is a very talented dentist, and I like how he always try to explain to me what is going on and make things make more sense. When ever I step out the clinic, I am already thinking about my next cleaning and check up visit, that is how much I like my experience there.

If you can get past Maria your care is good. I missed ONE appointment to have an old crown reset, she was very frustrated with me so she kept saying that they are so busy that she would try to get me rescheduled. When I would call their caller ID would let her know it was me so I was ignored and sent to vm where my call was never returned. So here I am trying to be so careful with this tooth not protected. Mind you Maria went on and on about how important it was to get a crown on a tooth that they had done a root canel on. So that the office could get another $1,000 bucks from me and my insurance.

Also folks.....be aware of all the positive reviews. They offer teeth whiting for positive reviews.

Top notch dental work from a bridge to filling to a cleaning. The people skills of the staff and Dr. Hishmeh cant be beat. Very clean facility. I highly recommend going there for your dental needs.

I just left from having 3 teeth pulled, and let me tell you, they were so accommodating to me! I was so scared! Melissa, Tiffany, and the dentist were amazing! I’ve been to 3 dentist offices in Lexington and this is by far the best! They have my family’s business going forward.

Truly, this is the nicest dental visit I’ve ever had. What a lovely office! First impression upon walking through the doors was, “Wow, this is a really nice office!” It is beautifully designed and doesn’t feel cold and clinical like the typical dental office. While, an office’s appearance isn’t everything, it made me feel like I was at home which definitely reduced my level of anxiety...Let’s face it, who is all that excited to go to the dentist!? Their whole staff from office to technicians are warm, knowledgeable, and on top of things. I cannot remember the name of the lady behind the desk, but she was very welcoming. Shadira (sp?) was my technician, and she was so gentle, did a great job, and remembered my concerns and brought them up when the doctor came in at the end of my cleaning. Dr. Hishmeh, is direct, professional and really listened to the concerns I had, addressed them and helped me feel at ease with the next visit to do fillings. I really appreciate all of them. I had not seen a dentist in a couple of years because of a very bad experience at a different place in town that left me scared to go back to see a dentist, so I was apprehensive about going to ANY dentist. I am very happy that I chose to go to this office. It’s a gem.

I came in for a deep cleaning done in two visits, and was talked into having a bunch of fillings done. None of my teeth hurt before, but one of the fillings took over 2 months to heal, and I wasn't able to eat on that entire side of my mouth for over 2 months. in addition I found the office staff in particular to be extremely unprofessional, even combative. I was promised both sides of my mouth would receive the deep cleaning before my insurance lapsed in 3 months, however because of the combat of nature of Maria at the front desk, my insurance is lapsed and I only have half my mouth clean. I asked for another appointment outside of my insurance and said that I would be leaving this review though. I was denied an appointment by both Maria and the doctor, in an attempt to silence my voice. If you're looking for mouth pain, abuse, and mistreatment, you can find all of that right here. UK dentistry accepts medicaid, do not go here.

I have had hands down the best dental experience to date with Gentle care. Always before, I really disliked a visit to the dentist....never had a good feeling about it at all. That has changed today following a very pleasant cleaning with the most awesome hygienist ever...Mary Ann. Following the cleaning I had fillings done WITHOUT any discomfort. Even the numbing was painless. Dr. Hishmeh and his team are the very best at what they do, friendly and great to be around....and the kicker is, they mean it. To sum it up, there is no better team than that of Gentle Care Dentistry near Kmart on Nicholasville Rd. Everyone should give Dr. Hishmeh a chance to earn their trust in dental care. Luke

Dr. Hishmeh is still my favorite dentist of all time! It is so obvious that he loves what he does. I hate going to the dentist but always look forward to seeing him. All of the staff here are extremely courteous and gentle. Megan has done my last 2 cleanings and both were throrough but painless. Thanks for always sending me home smiling.

I had a little anxiety about going to the dentist. This was my first time at Gentle Care and I had Megan as my Dental Hygienist. She was absolutely amazing. She was very comforting, thorough, gentle and informative. It was honestly the least invasive dentist visit I have ever had.
