Second appointment: not so impressed. One friend suggested that because Aspen is a "crank 'em in, crank 'em out" non-local company..... first appointment they likely try to impress to get you in the door and hooked, then feel they can slack off from there. Not sure on this, but my second appt..... I definitely felt the slack. 15 minutes in waiting area before being called in. Technician did not introduce herself (I had to ask her name). Cube space was not clean: trash on floor, old yellowed floor tiles, older dental instruments (not shiny or even close), dead bug on floor, ripped seat on patient dental chair. Technician had me sign waiver-of-their-responsibility forms should something go wrong: NOT reassuring. Many patients around, able to hear other conversations. I waited 20 minutes in chair until Dr. came in, administered numbing medication for procedure, then disappeared for another 30 minutes while I waited. Nothing by way of "raise your finger if you have pain" kind of offer was discussed by Dr. or Technician, so they just went in and started the procedure, explaining what would be done (only because I asked). Fortunately, there were no complications. Procedure took longer than it should have (in my opinion) because of again having to wait for doctor, who seemed to be rotating among several patients in adjacent cubes. While waiting, rubber dam was left in my mouth, which was slightly embarrassing and it caused me to drool a lot. Had to wait for Xray, and walk around in front of others with rubber dam hanging from my mouth. Dr. came back to finish procedure, gave hand-written prescription (would have been easier and more modern to do this electronically with my pharmacy, saving me extra steps). Technician set next appt. up, and then I checked-out. Wanted to pay balance of cost, but was told I should wait until next appt. We'll see how the third appt. goes. I was not impressed this time. I'm starting to understand why Aspen charges less than other clinics. I actually liked the doctor, however, but the Technician at the initial appt. impressed me more.

Just a PSA! Yelp’s reviews for this location + a variety of Aspen Dental’s other locations average 1-2 stars as opposed to Google’s average of 4.1 which is a little suspicious. If you’re interested in honest reviews definitely take a look at what past customers have had to say on this place’s Yelp page!

Very efficient and thorough, the were concerned for my time which is a rarity at the dentist these days.
Update 5/16/18 - it was all a show. I went there today for my first fitting. They plopped me in a chair, slapped a bib on me and left me there without anyone saying a word for thirty minutes. I knew it was too good to be true. I walked out.

Excellent place. Staff was exceptional and the Dentist was no BS. Knew his stuff and was direct about what needed to be done. Looking forward to having my teeth pulled out here!

Encourage services that are extra without stating the fee. I was asked if I was ok with the flavour of something, turns out this was a sales question. Questioned this, accepted the misunderstanding and asked for this not to be done again and the receptionist agreed to add a note to my account. Returned and same thing happened again, never returned my phone call after promising a call back. Won’t be returning.

Generally pleased with dental service at this location, but Aspen Dental in general makes it damn near impossible to obtain dental records. You have to physically go to the location to sign a release form, which is not always feasible due to work schedules. I can easily access all of my primary care medical records and submit requests for medical records from Maine Health through my online account. Aspen Dental is apparently not that advanced.

Horrible experience getting a tooth pulled today. I will never go there again. Absolute hatchet job on my mouth and jaw.

I reached a receptionist, told her of my pain I'd bem
suffrering fot 3-5 day. The dental hygenists was polite & took my exrays like a pro. Then I met :Justin, he as charming, throrough, professionl & unfortruntelly I only have medicare, $25,000 benefits through end of March, then I could use all $2500. right @ the bigging on May 1st. I'm not sure where to go @ this point. (even the lady who provided me with my x-rays & notes was a doll, and so was daughter being deloyed trying to do what she cn to help America.

This is kind of the used car dealer of dental care, if you will. In some ways great, but many ways not so great. Be prepared to be lied to, upsold, and treated poorly if you do not agree with what they are pitching.
