This is actually my hubby - Clarence, but I Kelly had the appointment. Our stuff always gets tangled up, lol! I had four teeth that had amalgam fillings replaced by Dr. Ashley Brown. Was absolutely seamless. Dr. Brown and the staff her are fantastic. So thankful for Natural Dentist Associates.

I had never heard of a holistic (or biological) dentist before. It's been one of the best discoveries for my personal health. My children and myself have been seeing Dr. Baer for expansion appliances. My daughter had a double frenectomy (tongue tie and upper lip tie) by Dr. Topograph. Their entire team is friendly, extremely well trained and excellent at their jobs. We've had everything from CT scans of our heads to teeth cleaning. Their clinic is a well oiled machine. They work very well as a team.

My first visit to this Office and I was very happy with the level of care. Everyone was really pleasant. Thank you NDA.

I've had a great experience at NDA! You will not be able to find another dentist anywhere in the DMV that is as natural as Natural Dentist Associates! everything in our body is connected, including our teeth, and it's true how much of an effect our teeth has on our body, like things you would never even think about. For example, I've had the ALF appliance for about a year now and my scoliosis has improved as a result, it has improved my posture, my breathing, and a lot of the pain I've had because of my scoliosis. Thank you NDA!

Very good COVID protocol. Staff are knowledgeable and friendly. All of the dentists in this practice are wonderful.

As a person who experienced severe dentist trauma as a child and teengager, I purposely sought out a biological dentist (who are INCREDIBLY EXPENSIVE) so that I could be treated with respect, humanity and consideration. This July I spent $5K+ at NDA on the extraction of ONE molar, placement of ONE membrane to prepare extraction site for a future INCREDIBLY EXPENSIVE implant, and removal of a mercury filling replaced by ceramic filling. Their patient portal had issues and caused unnecessary confusion and redundancy. Their electronic intake forms are very generic, unintuitive and impersonal; very much like the maintstream Medical Industrial Complex's (MIC) process.

I was so excited to have an African-Amer Female biological dentist BUT Dr. Brown ran back and forth between patients while attending me. Every visit felt tense and rushed. I have PTSD around dentist so I paid for very expensive sedation. My post-op pain medication was not sent to the pharmacy in a timely fashion and there was some sort of mixup; this affected my post-op pain experience. I was very understanding about all this and did not complain.

My 2nd visit to NDA was for my daughter's cavity filling. This was when I really noticed Dr. Brown's sterile, indignant demeanor. While she could not forbid my presence in the room (w/ my daughter) her body language was standoffish and she purposely made no eye contact with me when she walked into the room using non-verbal queues to dismiss my parental authority.

My third visit was to remove the membrane in my extraction site. I called to advise of my 15min delay and to inquire if I could still come in or, if I should reschedule. I was told to come in that I would be seen. When I arrived I was informed I would be seen and ushered to the exam room. Dr. Brown's assist. came in to see me, said Dr. Brown would be right in and asked me to sit in the chair. I sat for about another 20mins. When Dr. Brwn came in I apologized for my 15 min delay. She then informed me she would swab a anesthetic gel in the membrane site to numb it before pulling it out. She said it would feel like a light (not painful) tug. The whole time I was sitting there someone could have numbed the site; instead I sat there. The gel did NOTHING and she tugged pretty aggresively which was not only painful but, I began bleeding. I could taste blood in my mouth and when I explained she shrugged her shoulders and said "that's okay". I asked for a mirror and she became viscerally annoyed. I asked for care guidance ie: chewing, etc" and she CARELESSLY shrugged her shoulder's and stated: "well, you don't have any teeth there anyway so you can't chew there." She is insenitive and unempathetic. I then asked her "I can have my implant somewhere else correct?" and instead of asking me why I would want to do that she shrugged "Yes, I gotta go I'm in the middle of another surgery." I left feeling disregarded and violated.
I will NEVER go back there. I should have gone to NIHA where I was seen before and had a MUCH better experience.

Exceptional professionalism from their smiles when you walk in to their process in explaining what will be done during your visit to the informative way they check you out to have a pleasant day. Overall they provide an ambiance of a calming oasis which makes the dentist less frightening. Love it.
