Everyone was so nice! They made me feel very comfortable for my first time back to the dentist after so long:)

Like another person said, they try to see how much money they can make off of you. Three people said my teeth were great, and then one (not even a doctor) said I needed a filling & then the whole story changed. Then, I needed just a sealant. Then they try to charge me $100 for a filling. Then they say that I need my four (nonexistent) wisdom teeth removed. God forbid what they would take out knowing my wisdom teeth aren’t there

Someone mentioned Dr. Joy...lol...anyway
I feel she is competent but she tries to push services on you. (does she get a commission?) Very good practice but my husband went their last month (November) and mentioned something odd that happened DURING THE SUMMER and Dr. Joy brought up all kinds of aliments and treatments for it and what he needed to cure it. He said he was fine and it was an isolated incident and wondered what it was. But, she kept on and on about preventative care and then she talked to someone over a headset to get a cost. The cost (GULP) $1,300.00. after insurance. He said "Ok, thank you" and she said "Oh, we will schedule the appointment." lol..Really? When he told me the story I laughed and he said it felt like he walked onto a used car lot. So, my husband paid the co pay and vowed never return. He said the experience made him feel dirty so he made an appointment with another dentist in Seekonk. I gave Southcoast 2 (two) stars because I still go there. I think the hygienist are outstanding and the care is great. I just ignore Dr. Joy until she shuts up.

I don’t even know where to begin. The seekonk location is amazing I love the woman at the front desk she is so nice and down to earth. Makes everyone feel so welcome as well as the young man who sits near her. Brittany Tiffany and doctor shaupa have changed my life. I will be forever grateful for them she is not just a dentist she is my hero

You know you have a good dentist when you're a PHOBIC and you call him the next day to say THANK YOU for the smooth extraction. He stopped when I asked him to stop mid panic attack and went as far as to leave the room so I could gather myself. (Normally, I'm sedated but this was an emergent situation.) He was calm, kind and fast. His assistant worked one handed while I squeezed her other one and they gave me a play-by-play as we went along so I knew what to expect. Southcoast Smiles is a good form of exposure therapy, I swear it. I can truly say I love my dentist.

Had a crown come off a tooth, which also held my partial in place. Dr. Joy cemented the crown in wrong, partial will not fit. Was told I need to replace the crown and pay for it myself, because the original crown was not done at their office. Dr Joy knows she demented this in incorrectly, the dental assistant that day also commented this was on them, but they refuse to do anything about it. Wrote a letter to Dr. Ahearn expressing my frustration and he never even made an effort to respond to me.
Had a cleaning done there also for $49.99 because at the time I did not have any dental insurance. About six weeks later, I got a letter from Delta Dental saying Southcoast put in a claim for a cleaning and x-rays! Seriously? They knew I had no insurance at the time, which is why I came in for the "$49.99 special." Why try submitting a claim to Delta Dental from my old policy??

Everyone I’ve met there has always been so friendly and accommodating! It’s by far been the best dental office experience I’ve ever had.

I went in to have a crown that had fallen out reset. Unfortunately, that was not possible. Dr Dan Tracey worked with me to insure my dental health would not be compromised while I consider how to proceed without dental insurance. Compasssionate, caring, knowledgeable and skilled with be bit of a James Corden vibe. I would highly recommend Dr Tracey and Southcoast Smiles.

I am very disappointed in this office. I had Dr. Kuchar put in a crown in Dec. 2014 and she never said why I needed it. That bothered me. Every time I go back, I need at least $500 work done on my teeth. The last dental hygienist told me I had decay on several spots and I needed a tooth pulled that they had me do a root canal. Plus I needed deep cleaning!
I went to a new dentist for a second opinion April 15, 2015. I did not need a tooth pulled or deep cleaning. I am so thankful I didn't let southcoast pull my tooth. They are crooks. PLEASE get a second opinion if they recommend a lot of work on your teeth!!! I hadn't seen the dentist after my cleanings since Dec. 2012. That was a red flag to me. When I questioned it, the dental hygienist said do I want to make an appointment? What? No way was I coming back!!!!! I will not recommend SOUTHCOAST to anyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
