I'm a 77 year old woman in need of $45,000 worth of dental work. Dr Molito gave me the bad news yesterday, and if you ever must hear the worst, you want to hear it from Dr Molito! I'm a former clinical social worker, and Dr Molito is the first dentist I've seen who seems to understand the connection between dental work and human emotions. She's compassionate, upbeat and incredibly patient. I have no doubt that her dental work will be first rate.

My wife who has UFT made an appointment for my daughter and was told that they accept UFT as a dental plan. . When we got there, the dentist provided a cleaning and ex-rays and sold my daughter some over the counter dental items for $60. They then told me and my daughter that the future dental work had to be paid in advanced and we would get refunded by UFT. In which we should have been told that policy when my wife called specifically asked if they accepted UFT and the assignment of pay. They said we take UFT as a dental plan with UFT co-pays in order to get us in the door.
I told the the dentist in which my daughter said had cold and unfriendly chair manners and the office manager we couldn't afford to pay in advance and why would they not accept the assignment to get paid like the other many dentist we have gone to in the past less co-pays. Then I ask the office manager if I can speak to the doentist. with difficulty, I got to talk to the dentist and determine she was complicit in the scam.
We then ask for our ex-rays after insisting we are entitled and my daughter not wanting to return for the below average service. When we go to the front desk, the office manager comes out and wants to listen to our conversation about us asking about what we should pay in co-pays for the covered services. The two girls in the front had different co-pays amounts to be paid and one initially said $40 and the other $75. In the end the office manager came up with a $120 co-pay by trying to justify by saying they use Cigna as a bench mark of how much they charge. I said I don't need to hear about Cigna, I want to pay UFT co-pays as per my dental plan. At the end, they held my daughter hostage and kept her credit card and insisted on the $120 charge. My daughter who is a college student on a tight budget was then charged on her credit card, over $100. In sum, I see them answering the phone and saying they accept plans and then nail you to the wall for what they can. This office totally reminds me of a shady car dealership.

Called several times to verify my insurance would be accepted. Receptionist assured me that it was I booked an appointment online and the website confirmed that she accepted my insurance. I arrive for appointment in pain to a less than entusiastic receptionist who took my card and sighed irritably before stating that They would need me to pay 200 bucks because if they bill my insurance the insurance most likely would not pay so I should just pay. Still in pain. Thanks for wasting my time and lying to me.

I made an appointment to re-glue a crown onto an implant. Only at the appointment did Dr. Hsu tell me that she couldn't do the procedure because the implant seemed loose and would need to be tightened before the crown was re-attached. She didn't know what 'screwdrivers' were needed for this process.. Apparently implants involve custom hardware. Yet they did not request my previous records so that they could determine if they could re-glue it. I had agreed to a 'New Patient EXPERIENCE' for $199 as part of the appointment, so received a thorough examination, teeth cleaning, and recommendation for work to be done. However, my 'emergency' wasn't handled and I now have to find a doctor who knows how to manage implants. The 'EXPERIENCE' was a good value, but that wasn't my priority.
