I'm a new patient and I am very happy with the care I have received. Dr. Ertl and his colleagues have been kind and considerate throughout the duration of my visits. This makes my appointments a pleasant experience.

Update 2: I must say, I am amazed at what this office did for me. It's taken a long while for implants to heal and preliminary work to be completed, but Dr. Ertl and his team have now replaced my 6 front-most top teeth with brand new crowns that look 100% natural, like they grew right out of my skull. I coloration and shape of each tooth is absolutely true to life in every way. This work is SO impressive I can hardly believe it.
In the interim, I hog to know all of the staff at his office, and I must add that I am thoroughly impressed with each of them ... their dedication and love for their work their unending perfectionism, and their friendliness!
I highly recommend this team to ANYONE who's looking to have any amount of dental work done!

Update: Well, Dr. Ertl has now completed two of my crowns, and one for my wife. I must say, this man is an artist! I have never in my life had crowns produced for me that fit, right out-of-the-box ... and I have had MANY crowns made. I am not changing my earlier 5-start review ... only wish I could add another for the fine work this office turns out.
Kudos, to this entire office! Everyone is So friendly, and professional!

I've been a patient of Dr. Ertl since the beginning of last July, and am in the midst of a quite extensive treatment program. In this time, I have found his offices to be absolutely immaculate, his staff courteous, helpful, informative, and very professional, and his work to be excellent.
Dr. Ertl makes use of the latest technologies, and has been quite attentive to my apprehension and anxiety regarding injections.
I am happy to have found him, and willingly travel more than a half-hour to get to him!

The staff at Laurelwood Dentistry are always so nice, friendly, and considerate. My whole family goes there for dental care. They are very good with my children as well, even during procedures other than cleaning.

I wish I would have found Laurelwood Family Dentistry 10 years ago when I first moved here. Instead, we went through 4 dentists to find the quality and level of care we received at Laurelwood. Dr. Ertl was gentle and kind to my sons, and it was their first experience where they told me they actually liked the dentist. Amanda,in the office (leader?), is also the most professional receptionist I have encountered in this entire area. Really, just top notch. If you have any reservations over choosing Laurelwood for your family dentist, don't. They are probably just what you have been looking for in this area.

I started here as a patient with a Groupon and stayed because I like it. My dental tech has gentle hands. They send multiple reminders for appointments which is great bc I forget everything. The in house office plan is easy and affordable especially when you have no dental insurance. Overall a friendly office, very clean and never more than a 10 min wait in lobby or chair

This is a great dentistry practice. The staff are all very friendly and attentive, and they have taken good care of me and my family, particularly after poor experiences at other practices in the area. Dr Ertl’s professionalism and beside manner is impeccable, and I would highly recommend.

I'm only leaving 1 star because the staff that I spoke with over the phone were fairly pleasant and friendly. I scheduled a new patient appointment over the phone for myself and my son with Bobby. When I scheduled the appointments he was very friendly and took my insurance information etc. He told me that I would need to fill out the new patient paperwork and I could obtain it online and if I wanted to I could scan and email the completed paperwork in ahead of time, which I did well ahead of my appointment. My issue was not with him. So, on several occasions I received a text message requesting that I confirm my appointment as well as several phone calls requesting confirmation. Which I did all 4 or 5 times. My appointment was scheduled for Wednesday, August 5th. They called me today, July 31st (again) to confirm the appointment. The young lady told me that I would owe $245 when I came in for my cleaning. Wait, what? You all are an in network provider...why am I paying for a cleaning? Cleanings are no charge with an in network provider, trust me, I looked. She told me that was just the way their office works. That they make you pay up front and then they give the patient a claim form to submit to the insurance company and the insurance company refunds the amount to the patient. I'm sorry, in my 41 years of dental appointments and cleanings I have never heard of this....nor was this "method" explained to me when I made the appointment....which I told her. I then told her that I'm not paying that money up front and I'd like to cancel my appointment. She then told me that they charge a $45 cancelation fee. I told her I am well within the 48 hours to cancel. She said, it's business hours. I said yes, I'm still within 48 business hours as well. She said, well we don't count Mondays because we don't see patients on Mondays. Ummm, no...I don't think so. Your paperwork said 48 hours period and the paperwork also didn't say that you charge people up front. Nevermind it didn't say business hours but it definitely didn't say "we don't count Mondays." It says, and I quote, "I understand that if I reserve and/or confirm an appointment with the dental hygienist and/or doctor and then cancel the appointment within less than forty-eight (48) hours of verbal or written (email) notice, this cancelation will be considered a broken appointment." This was #4 on their long list of policies. It doesn't say business hours and it doesn't say sorry we don't count Mondays. So, my main issue was that I was not notified of "the way their office works" when I scheduled the appointment. And then trying to charge the $45 for a broken appointment when I was well within 48 hrs. They did not end up charging me $45. I have good dental insurance. I have government health and dental insurance and it's even the most expensive plan they offer. Usually, the way it works is that the dental office submits a claim form to the dental insurance and the insurance company reimburses the dental office and the patient is only responsible for a co-pay, if there is one. In my case there isn't even a co-pay. So, please be aware of the "way this office works" when scheduling an appointment. If you want to operate that way, that's perfectly fine but you need to tell patients up front that that's the way you do business and you need to put it in your long list of 23 policies. That was my issue. I was not told that at any point prior. Had I been told that after the young man took my insurance information on the same day I called to schedule....I would have definitely said no way right away. The cancelation fee that you attempted to charge when I was within 48 regular hours and business hours was down right bad business based on your new patient policy guideline which I will happily provide a photo of. So, people...be aware of the way this dental office does business.

I do recommend Laurelwood Family Dentistry. The office and lobby area up to date and clean. The hygienist was super thrilled to pick my gums and teeth too a shade of clean only shadowed by fresh snow. "That's clean!"

What a great team of folks! Everyone I’ve encountered is helpful. Always a pleasure to be around. The team at this practice are knowledgeable and down to earth. Dr. Ertl is helpful and explained everything I asked. Hannah was thorough and educated me about how to keep my mouth clean and well. The front desk staff got me checked in quickly and safely (Covid precautions). Each person wore PPE and we’re COVID cautious.
Great Care!!! Thank you!!!
