My experience here has always been really good! When my old OHP dentist messed up with one of my teeth this place was able to help and walked me through the whole process. If you would like a dentists office that really cares and listens to their patients then this is the place for you✨

South Coast Family Dentistry really cares about there patients. I just had an issue with my insurnace. They went above and beyond to help me out in my situation! I highly recommend this caring, knowledgeable staff to anyone looking for a new dentist office.

I would like to start by saying that I'am a seasonal worker at a golf course here and am 2100 miles away from home.My crown on my tooth cracked and was beyond repaired.I called South Coast an they were able to get me in the next day.they were able to build a temp tooth in about a hour.And they didn't price gouge me.I would recommend them for any dental needs.very professional.Thank you so much for everything

I went in for an exam at another dentist and he said I would need to get a crown on the tooth. I was pretty sure I just needed a new filling but he insisted I needed a crown. I paid $140 for a very limited exam. I decided to get a second opinion and I am very happy I did. At South Coast Dentist I had a much more thorough exam for $50 and today I had my filling fixed, no crown needed. That was $416 instead of the $1500 they wanted to charge me for an unnecessary and aggressive procedure at the other dentist. I am a little disappointed with billing as I had told them I will pay cash at my initial appointment. When I came back for my filling they said I had to pay a week in advance for the cash discount which no one told me. I thought it was unreasonable they could not honor their cash discount when I had told them well in advance that I pay cash and no one had told me this stipulation. Oh well lesson learned I am not too disappointed as I saved a lot not getting a crown. The dentist was amazing everything went very smoothly and I am happy!

I've been a patient of SCFD since it's inception but, I must admit, recently I wandered. I went to another Coos Bay/North Bend dentist (who shall remain nameless) for a bad front tooth. After a brief exam he gave me a couple of options both of which involved extraction and thousands of $$ worth of work. So I came back to South Coast and saw Dr. Cannon. After another brief exam he said, "I think we can save the tooth.....would you like to take care of it today?" Amazed, I asked how long THAT would take and Dr. Cannon said, "Oh.....about 18 minutes?" He performed the repair with a "casual confidence" that assured me I had made the right choice and the bill (after insurance) was less than a hundred dollars.
That "casual confidence", along with a professional attitude regarding treatment and a warm, welcoming demeanor, will keep me coming back with no reason to wander again!

I have always been pleased with S Coast until recently. We have been customers for many years.

I had dual insurance and basically over paid by over $700 out of pocket. They kept my money for over a year without even sending me a statement or letting me know that my second insurance ended up paying the rest. Our family could have used this money returned to us!
The only way I found out was they messed up billing my 22 year old for her in house insurance they offer. They tried to strong arm her into paying the rest of the year all at once. She never even used it and this was their error not hers that she hadn’t been billed for months.
Then they told her she could use my 700 to pay for it! I was livid! She’s 22 and has her own job and bills. Why would they do that without my consent even?
Dr Huff is awesome but as for the rest of the place, especially billing, I’m just done!

Very clean ,very professional,very organized .
The doc had a great bedside manner.
I was nervous after heart surgery.
They checked with my cardiac doctors and verified exactly what they needed to do with they could do and what they could not do instead of just trying to get money out of me.
I don't like the Dentist but they were great.

New Patients! Changes are always difficult, but Tom and I made a great choice with South Coast Family Dentistry after our move to the South Coast, Oregon. A very caring dental staff. We are pleased!

Exceptional service. Had 2 fillings done. Dr. Huff and his assistant Rande took very good care of me. Keeping me well informed of every step of the process and made sure I was comfortable for the duration of the procedure. I really appreciate the positive outlook and vibes this staff has. I also received a $5 gift card for the wait I experienced due to the previous customer's appointment taking longer than expected. Dr. Huff was very apologetic.
I highly recommend this facility.

OMG! Awesome. It’s always hard changing to new dentist. My boy had to have first filling done at 14 . The dentist explained everything to him. He wasn’t afraid and even said he liked this dentist way better!
You all rock! Thank you for making his first filling a good experience!
