I have not been one to like going to the dentist so I always put it off then I went to see Dr. Garbo and her staff and now I can say I will be going more often. If you are going as a new patient just give yourself extra time as that appointment takes a while with the X-rays, but well worth it.

I called because I had either a cracked tooth or filling that came out and couldn't eat on that side of my mouth. I told them I could not take off multiple days from work. Was told if I got to their office at my 4 pm appointment they would take care of it. After taking xrays I was then told they didn't have time to fix it because it was 430. I have never had a dentist let me leave their office with a hole in my tooth that was affecting eating and causing pain. Nothing temporary was put in so I could eat or even suggested.

Office staff communication with patients could be more clear and reliable. I had a crown placed on my tooth at this office and they didn't tell me until they had already ordered the crown and had it made and while they were putting it on my tooth they told me in casual conversation that I was the first patient they used this lab for and that my crown was actually the most expensive kind they offer. I work in retail and have a family, I live on a budget and being able to have dental work done is a rare privilege for me and to find out that there were actually cheaper options I wasn't told about really hurt my wallet.
Also please please be aware that if you are on a budget, if you have Delta Dental (or similar) insurance (mine is provided through the retail company where I work) which may only cover silver fillings, this office does not do silver fillings and I was told by a staff member "good luck finding anyone that still does silver fillings" and that silver fillings aren't as good as resin which is a very subjective and unverifiable statement. I was even warned that dental practices that still offer silver fillings run a higher risk of causing infection due to shoddy dentistry. I would love to see the data backing up those claims.
I resent the condescending attitude I received simply because I'm more concerned with affordability versus teeth discoloration and the needs of my family are more important than whether or not I have silver fillings or tooth coloured ones.
Secondly, if you schedule an appointment at this practice make sure that you check your text messages frequently. My (also my spouse's) appointment time was changed several times by the office staff and if you aren't a heavy phone user you could have your appointment canceled if you don't reply to their text messages every time they adjust your appointment time.
Finally, I've noticed that this office has a tendency to let you schedule an (insurance covered) teeth cleaning however they will not tell you up front that they will not/cannot perform the insurance covered yearly cleaning that my insurance covers unless I first schedule and pay $200 for a full debridement, which they admit that most insurance companies dont cover and which they say must be done before they can do a regular cleaning. This could be true or it could be evidence of bait & switch or possibly even taking advantage of those like me who are uninformed. You be the judge.
Unfortunately, even with insurance, this dental office is too expensive for my family to patron and we must seek a more affordable practice.
