Dr Costa and Staff are all amazing! From the time you walk in, to your cleaning, x-rays, dental work, and even financial aspect was smooth and pleasant. You can't say THAT about many dental experiences. You can tell the staff genuinely care and are happy! Thank you for making a believer out of me, I've avoided the dentist for years ridden with anxiety from past experiences. You guys are AWESOME!

Just completed another fabulous experience at Knoxville Smiles Dentistry! If you’re in need of dental care you simply can’t do any better than this A-1 practice located in West Knoxville. Dr. Stephen ( Jellybean) Malone is easily the city’s best, and is unrivaled in his field! Even beyond his terrific skills, is his easygoing method of openly sharing aspects of his personal life, and interests. So whether he’s reminiscing about his early days riding with his motorcycle gang, “Dental Demons”, declaring his deep passion for jug band music, or quietly arguing with his imaginary friend Rusty, you really get to connect with him as a person. Also the atmosphere there is so causal and laidback you often see him strolling from room to room in a tank top, and pair of snug cutoffs. Make no mistake though, once he assesses your dental needs he’s the ultimate professional as he kicks off the “Pankey” party. The whole staff is marvelous as well, especially Kim, and the gang buster gals up front. They are invariably cheerful, and sweet despite being surrounded by photographs of huge threatening birds. Shoutout to their stellar receptionist Tish, on her recent Marriage, and obtaining permanent residence status. Congrats! Still though, the zenith of my visit, as always is their high-level hygienist, Miss Shannon Borchers! This dental rock star, and only medical specialist to have her own flavor of Blue Bunny ice cream ( Floss N’ Fudge) is off the charts with her oral care abilities! One of her many attributes is how she remains up to date on all the most current cleaning techniques, in spite of her time consuming hobbies like daily brunches at the Oliver Royale, and judging others on Facebook, she’s stays on the cutting edge. Giddy with excitement over the delivery of her new toaster oven, she went straight to work on my teeth, taking them from monkey house filthy to as slick and shiny as a newborn porpoise! By the time she was done my mouth had a warm glow to it, as if a 12 volt car battery was hooked to my gums! Be sure to book your treatment with her early in the day though, due to her prompt bedtime of 4:45pm daily. As always my hour in her presence was over in the blink of an eye, and regardless of my efforts to linger, I was reminded my appointment had ended , and politely asked to leave. Bestowed with my “treasure” bag containing pre-scratched lottery tickets, two sticks of sugarless gum, and a 2012 issue of TV guide, I made my way home filled with glorious memories of my magical mystery tour of this dental Shangri-La! From the scheduling and reception to the Dentists you couldn't get better care for your family. Dr Malone has recently added Dr Costa who is a perfect fit for the practice. I feel you can not top the care you receive from Drs Costa, Malone, and Noble!! They also do advanced dental care that many other dentist have to refer out of office.

I have been a patient of Knoxville Smiles since 2003. The entire staff is welcoming, friendly, and dedicated to your comfort and positive experience. I highly recommend them and have for years.

This is the most friendly, caring, professional, and modern dental office I have ever been to in 50+ years. I am from Florida and had to see a dentist for a serious complication from a root canal I received in Florida. The staff got me in immediately and I was treated like I had been a patient for 25 years. My situation was complicated, in spite of the office being very busy, both dentist took time to diagnose my real issue. If it were not too far to travel I would make this the place for all my dental work. The modern equipment was able to help with finding my issues quickly. THANK YOU TO THE STAFF AND DR. This place was recommended to me by a friend, and I have since recommended it to my parents as well. The staff is very friendly and make the experience enjoyable.

Other than cleanings, I have had two back molars capped using some amazing new technology. The results are great, and the problems have been sufficiently dealt with.
