There are 3 things I learned during my experience at Dr. Damon’s office….

#1: If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. My mother was a patient who underwent surgery to have a tori removal for dentures. From the jump, they assured she was free to come for as many follow ups, as needed. Fast forward to two months post-op and 6 office visits later, she is stuck with a denture that has never fit properly, as well as a doctor who was stating “I’m not pointing any fingers, but we’ve never had someone come in for 4 relines in one month” - good preface to the rest of the experience below…

Dr. Secola’s suggestion was to rebase it until they decided it was too soon and we needed to wait another 2 months. Dr. Damon’s suggestion was to do a hard reline. The hard reline, which they charged an additional $200 for, did nothing so another follow up appointment was made. In between these appointments, my mother had posted a review on FB and Google with her truthful and honest experience (look up Victoria Coghlan’s review). At the final appointment, Dr. Damon put the denture in her mouth and it instantly fell out. His solution? An ultimatum: Remove the FB & Google reviews, return the denture and he would refund the money for it. This was because, in his words, she had “tarnished the patient/doctor relationship”. No sense of compassion, no reasoning, no explanation aside from “your mouth is still changing from surgery which is why the denture never fit”. At this time, we had paid for surgery/sedation and the denture so whatever took place beyond that was honestly none of their concern. They made their profit and then some, and that was that. I simply do not understand how people like this sleep at night.

#2: It pays to give your employees a simple course on customer service. The number of eyerolls from Dr. Secola & Latrice I witnessed was beyond just disrespectful but disheartening. You’re “dealing with” customers who do not have teeth, have some heart. Another solid indication that once they have your money, you’re as good as dirt to them. This behavior made the waiting room décor “We treat you like family”, incredibly comical.

#3: 90% of the work he posts is of veneers/implants, etc. – THOSE WHO ARE LOOKING FOR DENTURES, TAKE NOTE!!! I can only hope those who went the implant route had a better experience, but I can attest to the fact that dentures are not his forte, though he claims to make 600-900 dentures a year.

Lastly, in hindsight and noted for future, won’t be trusting a dentist who includes his favorite varietals of wine under his Professional Statement on his website. I will, however, be bringing him a nice bottle of Moone-Tsai when he decides to rectify the situation he has created. Cheers, Dr. Damon, looking forward to hearing from you soon!

Perhaps it is a misclassification by google, I don't know why this is considered a "geriatric" dentist office. The doors do not open with hand plates, so difficult to maneuver with a wheelchair. The x-ray machine chair had no arms making it difficult to get up. Music was 80-90 Rock and rather loud, couldn't hear receptionist and they disregarded my request to decrease the volume. The female dentist explained the plan of care fine. I think the majority of geriatric clients have some mobility limitations and probably most would not feel at ease with loud rock playing against the news channel on tv, total sensory overload. Disappointed in office, wanted to get my family member established with a new dentist after relocating to Amarillo. This will not be the one.

Stevie is the best!! She has great customer service and is very gentle! Best cleaning I’ve ever had!!

They robbed me 5368. Sold me partials when i have lupus and needed dentures. Immediately she was dong molds and i had to show her tooth fsllijg out she had missed. Got charged and it was the first tooth suppose to hold partial that fell out immeidiately after they issued me teeth after waiting 6months ifirst day with non fitting partials teeth started to break off and they would not honor guarantee. Said no guarantee.sufferig now2yrs and even my front teeth fell out.

Awesome dental office! Everyone is so friendly and they treat you like family! I would highly recommend this office.
