Dr. Rodriguez is awesome! I used to dread trips to the dentist but now with Dr. Rodriguez it's a cake walk. She explains everything and throws in a few jokes where they are needed. I will go to her as long as she is in practice.

Somewhat disappointed since Dr. Horton left . The girls in the office are good , but it seems to be turning into a "Monarch" style service center . I had a severe infection in a tooth , some years ago , and called Dr. Horton . She immediately called in a prescription for antibiotics . No fuss , no problem . I am having the same issue with a tooth that was uncrowned ,and waiting for an implant . I called , and was told Dr. Rodriguez needs to see me to determine what type of infection . REALLY !!! Billable hours seems to be the mantra . And I have done huge amounts of business with that facility. For those that are unaware , this is not owned by the dentist!!! It's a profit center for some investor.

Ok, So I have worked in the dental field for 5 years and yet I still have a genuine fear of dental work. It's psychosomatic and fueled by my anxiety. I have also always had horrible gums from as long as I can remember and therefore always had to have the "deep cleanings" (scaling and root planing if you want the fancy term). I also metabolize anesthetic very very fast so as a child and even as an adult I have had a very rough time getting any dental work done as I just don't stay numb. As a result of all these struggles, I have avoided my own dental treatment.
I finally decided to go get my exam and get my teeth cleaned and whatever work that needed done, despite my fears. Dr. Feroz had me take my anxiety medication an hour before my appointment (Not everyone needs or is a candidate for pre medication just as a disclaimer, It just is what worked for me) and cleared me before having nitrous. Yancy was first to do my hygiene treatment. She talked me calmly through everything she and Dr. Feroz was going to do before she did it and asked me if I had any questions. She really took her time to not only do a thorough job but also to talk me through each part of the procedure. Dr. Feroz numbed me up and gave me nitrous. Now I am telling you I have very very inflamed gums so I was anticipating a lot of pain, but then when Dr. Feroz said he would numb me for my cleaning, I was hesitant but the injections were very tolerable with the ease both he and Yancy put me at, and he even used this vibrating tool to help with the pain of the injection. What a perk! And the whole time Yancy cleaned my teeth I felt NOTHING! It was the first time I have ever had a dental cleaning and felt nothing and therefore felt so relaxed and comfortable!
Dr. Feroz then had to do my fillings and my crown. Again, everything was calmly discussed before they did anything and they checked in with me at every step to make sure I was still comfortable. Unfortunately, as I again metabolize anesthetic quickly, I was maxed out on numbing agents and they weren’t able to start on my crown because I wouldn’t stay numb. Why this is important to mention is because I was even telling Dr. Feroz he could just proceed and I’d deal with it as I have dealt with painful procedures in the past because of my inability to stay numb. Many doctors I know would forge through especially since I’d already been in their chair all morning, they would want me done… not this team. They insisted I wait to do my crown when I can be just as comfortable and numb as well as for my safety they couldn’t give me any more numbing medication. Normally I would dread having to go back to finish up more treatment but I can not tell you how comforted I felt by knowing that when I did come back to finish it, I would be comfortable and pain free. I even got emotional and began to tear up a bit telling them how much better this experience had been for me than previous experiences and it honestly will change my life.
You might be thinking that’s a little extra, but think about it, I had horrible gum health for so long and avoided the dentist because I knew it would be painful, now that I not only know that my dental appointments don’t have to be a horrible painful experience, but that my gums will actually heal with the right treatment, I may literally be saving myself from major health problems that could be caused by gum disease! I feel like this team has given me back hope that I didn’t have, as silly as that sounds, I just had assumed I’d just end up with dentures one day because my gums would never improve and i’d lose all my teeth, but now I actually believe I can have a healthy mouth, I can keep it that way since I will no longer be avoiding the dentist.
If you are a chicken, or have anxiety like me, or low pain tolerance, you HAVE to go see this team and give them a try. It’s truly life changing and I'm so grateful to this team for what they did for me and my family. Yancy, and Dr. Feroz, thank you sooooo much for what you did for me.

Dr. Horton and her staff genuinely care about your oral health. My hygienist Brittiny is always chipper and happy even when I'm cranky about going to the dentist. They even make our 3 and 5 year old boys feel relaxed creating a positive experience for them. Makes me work harder to take care of my teeth so I don't disappoint them.
