Dr. Rudd at Broad Park Family Dentistry installed a poorly fitting crown that allowed bacteria to enter the tooth cavity and caused irreparable harm to the tooth. 18 months later he wants $3500 of my hard earned dollars to correct his mistake. He referred me to an endodontist to see if the tooth can be saved, but the endodontist stated Dr. Rudd did a bad job on the crown and should fix it. Dr. Rudd got defensive and even got mad that I got a second opinion after he was the one to suggest it. He doesn't stand by his work, even after admitting 18 months is an incredibly short time frame for a crown to fail (insurance won't cover a second crown until 5 years have past). He claims the crown was "textbook." If 18 month crowns are routine for him, that is truly troubling.
