I have been a patient of Dr Rust's for about 12 years, and I could not ask for better dental care. Dr Rust is caring and attentive, and always provides complete information about the plan of care so that I can make informed decisions. And in case you are wondering, Dr Rust is adamantly against PAIN!! He is always making sure that I am not hurting, even if it means an extra injection of Xylocaine and a/or a few extra minutes so I am completely numb. Today was for seating 2 crowns...and as usual, efficient and painless.

As someone who hates the dentist, I would give this 10 stars if I could. They were gentle, quick, and professional. They also give you access to a ton of additional imagery they take of your teeth so you can see what they see as they go through everything, which was great. Overall this is the best dental experience I've had so far. Also they were very affordable. Definitely won't be going anywhere else.

Terrible! Gum infection from tooth cleaning. Dr. Rust said only once you get one that causes a dry socket it is a problem. He offered to SELL me some expensive mouth wash but to absolutely no responsibility, nor did he offer to refund the cost of the cleaning. No apology. No offer of help.
He continues to bomb me with emails and text messages saying it is past time for my appointment -- despite my repeated request to stop.
I will start posting one of these each time I get one. Today, SUNDAY morning I received both a text and an email.

Today I returned to have my permanent crown seated after a root canal and preparation for the crown had time to heal. From doing everything possible to make my experience comfortable during the root canal to discussing the plan for having all my teeth crowned and the financial path for completion this has been the best experience at a dental office ever. Born in Japan only 9 years after the bombs my teeth suffered because my mother was malnourished during pregnancy and I continued to be until I was adopted by an Air Force couple. According to the doctors who evaluated me after the adoption I wouldn’t have lived to be three if they hadn’t intervened. I was rushed to the hospital the night after all four molars had been extracted that day b/c they were hollow due to the malnutrition causing me to bleed a small pool on the bed. It was discovered that I didn’t have enough iron for my blood to clot. I was 15 mos. old. I share this b/c it was the beginning of my life at the dentist for the next 62 1/2 years so I have a good bit of experience at dental offices. Everyone was kind, understanding and efficient from dental assistants to discussing finances and of course Dr. Kelsey Pena-Garza. I highly recommend Lifetime Dental at San Pedro to everyone.
