Mr. Dentist:
Mr. Dentist is a dental clinic located in San Antonio, Texas. The clinic offers a range of dental services, including cosmetic dentistry, teeth whitening, and general dentistry. The clinic is open from Tuesday to Saturday, with extended hours on Saturdays to accommodate patients with busy schedules.
The clinic has received mixed reviews from customers. Some customers have praised the clinic for its friendly staff and efficient service. One customer wrote, "Went in and got quick service. Had two wisdom teeth removed quick and pain-free. Dr. Bader was very friendly and the staff was too. Overall the whole experience was amazing and 100% recommend." Another customer praised Dr. Bader's attention to detail, saying, "He helps you understand the issues with your teeth and shows and explains all you need to know over X-rays. His staff is also very helpful, keeps your best interest in mind."
However, some customers have had negative experiences with the clinic. One customer claimed that the clinic refused to pay vendors and workmen, saying, "Just be aware of who you are dealing with." Another customer claimed that the clinic drilled too much of their teeth and caused food to get stuck in them, saying, "Fillings fell out within a month. Went back he refilled and they again fell out. I never returned."

The dentistry seemed completely adequate for my cleaning and fillings.
I went to Mr. Dentist in the spring of 2013 as a cash only patient needing a cheap cleaning as I was new in town and didn't have time to find a dentist right away. I had the cleaning and it went perfectly fine and I decided to return to have the cavities filled that they found, as they offered a decent rate and I didn't expect to have my insurance sorted anytime soon.
I had the cavities filled, paid cash in full in the amount they charged me, and left reasonably satisfied. However, about a year later (March 2014) I got a notice in the mail threatening legal action if I didn't pay an outstanding balance of $78 that they claimed I had. They had not contacted me in any other way for the entire year in between. I was unable to find the tiny receipt they gave me from the original transaction.
When I went to the office and explained to them what had happened and that what they were doing was incredibly dishonest business practice, and that I didn't appreciate being threatened with legal action after a year of no contact, they admitted that their previous employees in charge of billing had made a mess of things. Despite this admittance of previous incompetence, Mr. Dentist demanded that I pay the money that I didn't actually owe, and didn't even waive the $30 fee for me to get my charts from them to bring to my current dentist. No effort was made to even try to make amends for the dishonest manner in which they served up this bill out of the blue a full year after I had paid it in full. I learned from my mistake, asked that the Dr. himself sign the receipt reading "paid in full", and asked to speak with him. The receptionist took it back to him and had it signed, but said he was too busy to speak to me even though I could see him standing in the hall.
This was by far the worst experience I've ever had with a business, so bad that it inspired me to write my first review of any business once Mr. Dentist finally bravely created a public page on Google that allows me to warn whoever may read this.

I recently quit working at this dentist office and let me tell you ! If you are thinking about applying here ! Dont ! They tampered with my hourly salary for the last check that i worked for them! I was making 13$ a hour and they put 7.25$ for 33 hrs. I do not advise any dental assistant/manager/front desk to work here. He is a great doctor to the patients but not to his staff who work hard for him.

STAY AWAY! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY HERE!! ALL THIS GUY WANTS IS YOUR MONEY!! A TRUE SCUMBAG WITH NO ETHICS WHAT SO EVER! this place needs to be shut down the dentist I saw was completely unprofessional and the assistant was a joke! For a cleaning I had water down my neck teeth bits in my eyes and hair and he proceeded to tell me I needed all of my teeth filled! Most of them ALREADY are! This was the worst experience I've ever had @ a dentists office he kept hurting me and telling me I was "fine" not to mention the kid in the other room screaming bloody murder! Who knows what happened to him! Bottom line this place is ghetto and ill never go back.

Amazing assistance! The staff is very welcoming and efficiently. Especially to one of the dental assistants, Katia, she made everything run smooth from start to finish, so thank you!

I CANNOT Thank This Office Enough. From The Front To The Back They All Have Been Amazing. Helping Me With My Dental Phobia. To Being So Kind During My Procedure. This Is The Best Office Ever!

I had an appointment at 2:30pm but when I arrived I was told my appointment was not in their system even though I received text and email confirmation of my appointment. The dental assistant checked me in anyways citing a system error. I waited patiently as 3:30 went by and have not been seen but was told that I was next in 10mins. As I approached 4pm, I went to the desk and expressed my dissatisfaction in waiting 1.5hrs so far to be seen but others who came after me were called. She then blamed it on having only 1 xray machine and the appointment not being in the system despite confirmation from their system that my appointment was set. I told her that doesn't make sense to wait 1.5hrs in a waiting room and to cancel the entire visit and I will not reschedule. I am beyond disappointed!

I came in under the impresssion that I had been referred to a SPECIALIST. He wasn't. The outcome of my surgery was horribly painful when a root-tip was left in my mouth/gums because it was too deep to extract with lidocane injectioms. After 5 wks from the date I was given the referral, I still haven't received word from the micro-facial SPECIALIST(S) I was then referred to for a 2nd opinion. . .
Although, my initial visit there was pleasantππ due to the amazing dental assistant, "Sarah" (who surprisingly is no longer there), was exceptionately calming, extremely informative, & absolutelty as well as effortlessly & genuinely a natural nurturing professional. I ESPECIALLY & MOST IMPORTANTLY want to add & reiterate that SARAH WAS & STILL IS the ONLY HEALTH PROFESSIONAL
to EVER take x-rays of my teeth without hurting me in the process! She was amazing; to say the least.πππππ ~ She gets 5 stars. Yet, the majority of the stafff - unfortunately - did not follow suite.... I experienced a placid atmosphere in the lobby, embarrassing unorganization, an extreme display of frustration riddled with confusion amongst the front desk emplpyee,
& a blatant lack of tact that was expressed with authorative sarcasm by another staff member. I'll call it passive-aggressive- condescending-while-"keeping-it- professional" -- I was so not surprised by this time and rather amused that such an effort had to be made... In order to keep it just THAT; ugh... professional!
I won't go back &/or refer ANYONE to Mr. Dentist. One more thing: this was the only place I ever got a 10 minute cleaning which did NOT include flossing the teeth! I was in pain due to my previous extraction, but the cleaning could have been postponed rather than done insufficiently. I literally could not tell that my teeth had been cleaned... I think everything in this office was rushed .~.With NO qualms or concerns regarding the shady (for lack of a better word) job/work being performed. I was baffled. I expect the best of the best and for anybody to take pride in whatever work they do. I was referred here for an extractuon, then coerced into getting a whole other set of xrays of my mouth done (after the extraction surgery but before the "cleaning") .... Needless to say: when this was NOT my primary dentist... I had just realized he was trying to get me to stay there as a regular patient! I normally would have refused, but it was insisted that it would only take 10 minites -- then took 30! I imagine the insurance bill was hefty... Regardless, I do not like being lied to or tricked! Thus, my review is rather detailed & specific - with nothing to be left out ; the good & the bad.
Bella at the Old Pearsall Rd. location was always helpful. She and Sarah saved this place from getting 1 star. Or none if it was possible.
~Β°~ Beyond disappointed ~Β°~
*** On the bright side, it's approx. 6 wks later and I'm finally not in pain and the dry socket is almost completely closed up. It's a good thing I didn't hold my breath waiting on the appt. for the 2nd opinion*** Regardless, I'm grateful that it's been done! A WORD TO THE WISE: Inquire regarding doctors' credentials; & never assume they just because you were referred there! This could have been avoided.... ππ
