I am a new Patient. Everyone was so kind and friendly and very informative about the care I will need. I just finished a deep cleaning appointment. It was VERY unpleasant (Because I haven't been to Dentist in 3 + years, My BAD, but my teeth look better right now than they ever have after ANY cleaning. They are actually white. Not sparkly white, but, I always walked away from OTHER Dentist offices wondering why I STILL had yellow teeth. AND the actual Dentist, Dr. Ponsford, called me on my cell after I went home to check up on me. **WOW* I missed the call cause I went home, took aspirin, and went to sleep. My initial visit was with Dr Cooksey who was also very Kind, and BEGGED me to promise to go to see Dr Ponsford (in same office but Periodontal Specialist)
EVERYONE in the office is so friendly and supportive. NO SHAMING. I am ashamed of myself for letting my mouth get so bad....but....Comal Hills Dental is doing everything they can to help me.

To say "I hate the dentist" is an understatement. I've always had phobias of going to the dentist since being slapped, told to stop crying and forced to swallow a mouthful of drilled tooth waste as a child. BUT...an emergency tooth issue brought me to Comal Hills Dental group and they have my business for life! The entire staff here and Dr. Cooksey made me feel very comfortable from the moment we met. He's supportive of my anxiety and willing to work around my level of comfort, even if it means spreading out treatments for me. When I shared that I carry the red-headed gene (makes us harder to numb) he knew exactly how to address that and gave extra novocain so that I wouldn't experience undue pain. I've had dental appointments in the past where staff didn't address this and I ended up feeling EVERYTHING and crying through my drilling. Comal Hills Dental really took care of me and I'm thankful for their kindness.
