I don't normally write reviews but felt that this was IMPORTANT. They diagnosed 6 cavities that needed filling. The second opinion I received from another dentist diagnosed 0. If you want to be "proactive" and drill holes in your teeth go here. If you trust your tooth enamel to do what it was designed to do GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

A little about me: I sweat just THINKING about dentist visits. I hyperventilate in the chair. I cry while being worked on. (I had horrible experiences as a child).
I needed to find a new dentist. I came across YFD and decided I'd call, (knowing I probably wouldn't get in for a month or two). Well, turns out, I only had to wait 2 days, YES DAYS!! Amazing right?
So, this month, I had my wisdom teeth extracted and some cavities filled. The doctor numbed me up with every ounce of lidocaine in the Salt Lake Valley (ok, maybe he didn't) just so I wouldn't feel the pain. I think I'm hypersensitive, and of course my brain works overtime, so I have to say, the doctor really had his hands full with me! Even with me crying in anticipation, he was patient and kind and reassuring. He waited for me to be ready. The nitrous oxide started kicking in, the lidocaine was working... The extraction and fills went reasonably well without complication, except me saying I needed more lidocaine. After all was said and done, I realized I panicked over nothing.
As with any cavity fills, the doctor will do a bite check with that funny blue paper. Well, I was so numb, I chose to come back at a later date when I was no longer numb. He reassured me that anytime I wanted to, to just come on by. Tomorrow,if I wanted. (Ha ha, silly doctor. I was not coming back that soon, dentists don't let you do that! RIGHT??)
He really wasn't kidding. I called the office, they got me RIGHT IN! "Can you be here 10 minutes?" asked the receptionist. Wowza!!!
I now know there is a great staff that will make me feel comfortable if I need a dentist. The staff at Young Family Dental Riverton catered to this wimpy client and I will be more than O.K. with going back and having my teeth done. The worst part? I couldn't "put off" going to the dentist anymore because they had me in and out in a flash!!
