After being with my previous dentist for over 30 years, I decided to switch to Renton Modern Dentistry, because they were located only 10 mins. from my house.
Although I was a little apprehensive about switching, they made the experience a very comfortable one. The staff, from the dentist to the office manager made my visit as pleasant as a dentist visit can be.
I was very impressed with the "modern" way they do things and I would suggest anyone looking for a new dentist to check them out!

I went to the Ballard location first and everything was great. I only went to this Renton location because the oral surgeon wasn’t back until the next month and I needed the procedure done this month in order to cap out my insurance before I switched plans.
Went in for three teeth extractions. Was told I will would need to pay $830 ish for the procedure after insurance. They got me a blanket, talked with me about concerns and Doctor Doyle was very thorough when going over what the procedure entailed.
Very quick 45 minute procedure, and it was not as bad as expected so he was able to take $220 off of my out of pocket bill. Great team. Doctor Doyle was friendly, concise, knowledgeable, and efficient. This is my second dentist visit in nearly a decade because I didn’t have money or insurance, I would highly recommend this office after being taken care of so well.

I am a big fan of Renton Modern Dentistry. I find the staff to be informative, helpful, and kind. Dr. Huang is by far the best dentist I’ve ever had. He answered all of my questions, walked me through the procedure, made sure I was comfortable, and was very patient with me. He even gave me a next day follow up call to make sure my new crown was fitting the way it was supposed to. To me that’s what the health care standard should aspire to be

Don't go to Renton Modern Dentistry unless you like being lied to. I'd stay away at costs. Avoid like the plague!
If I could give zero stars I would. I'm fuming.
So basically my crowns for implants were delayed a month and I was about to be stuck with a cut up retainer for my wedding. My treatment was supposed to be done in January with enough time for my wedding (Feb 17).
So Dr Hayes got me in the week before do temporary crowns done in time for my wedding which was great. It worked and this dental office finally did something right. Dr. Hayes told me that after the honeymoon if I liked them I can get them permanently cemented or could do my crowns since they'll be in by then. I get back from honeymoon and make my appointment. All good to go.
Then I get a reminder call about a week before saying that I need to bring my flipper(which I gave to the dentist) because Dr. Hayes said they need a new impression and scan for crowns because the ones they got from the lab weren't as good as they should be. At this point I just want to be done with this horrible dental office for good because it’s been months of really bad customer service. I was only staying to finish treatment and would go elsewhere. So I say I'm just going get the temporaries permanently cemented.
I went to my appointment this week. Guess what? They never received any crowns. My crowns were never worked on. At all. The lab told the office they couldn't do them. Back in Jan/February! This was the reason she did the temporaries in time for the wedding. So not only was I lied to for the past almost 3 months about my crowns being worked on (with plenty of opportunities to tell me the truth), but I was also lied to about the reasoning why I needed new impressions and abutments just a week ago! They were informed of this back in Jan/Early February. I'm just now finding out about it in APRIL?!
Then also at this appointment she tells me my abutments might show through temporary crowns because the cement isn't as white. Why was I not told this when SHE SUGGESTED this option back in early February. Why was this not told to me when I JUST spoke to her a week ago?! I asked well if that does happen is that something that can be fixed afterwards and she said that it wouldn't be a problem and it might be fine.
I now have two gray crowns because the abutments do show through. I am livid. I'm going to another dental office to fix it because I don't trust this office whatsoever to do anything right. And I really don’t trust them since I’ve been lied to for the past 3 months. It's been a nightmare of an experience. I have never received such poor customer service or have seen such lack of professionalism.

Took over 4 months to finish one root canal. No antibiotics prescribed. Over charged for everything even with insurance. Was left alone in the chair twice for 2.5 hours on my first visit with not one person checking on me for a total time if 8 hours in the chair for a 1.5 hour procedure. All of this while on nitrous that was poorly mixed leading to a sinus infection.
This place is poorly run with poor excuses for dentists and I'm strongly considering a lawsuit.

My Surgeon Dr. Jones has a quote in the website saying how his compassion is key to his complete care for his patients. Of course I’m paraphrasing but you get the idea. Dr. Jones extracted two teeth from me and gave me 8 pain pills for my after care. I remember the days when you had a tooth extracted and they gave you a full pain prescription meant to cover any discomfort after the surgery. Now, you’re treated like an addict if you even hint at needing something besides OTC medications. I’m very disappointed in his total care of me. I feel he made a judgement about me and instead of caring for me, judged me instead. My initial consultation was even worse I was referred to their office and was told they took my insurance. Due to the virus I’m out of work momentarily and so have state insurance. Once they found out I had state insurance ;Dr. Hueng left the room and I never saw him again. A financial person came in to discuss financing. This procedure is costing me $1,000.00 and they wouldn’t send me home with pain medications for the time between then and my surgery date. Several days without something for pain when I clearly had an infection, face swollen and in a lot of pain. These things may not mean anything to the next patron but I feel it’s something to be known. They don’t really care about your care, they care about the money. Why make someone suffer when they don’t have to? Care encompasses total care from beginning to end. I’ll make sure and tell everyone I know who’s looking for a dentist or oral surgeon and make sure they steer clear of this doc in the box chain butcher shop.

Recently used Renton Modern Dentistry for my and our daughters annual check-up. Friendly staff, very modern dentistry indeed with high end crowns and implants ready within hours. I definitely recommend RMD to friends and family.

UPDATE: The nightmare with them just keeps on going. Received a bill for $250 3 months since I had to call multiple times to get the refund they owed me when they botched my appointment back in November. Apparently when they refunded my money they reapplied the charges and then sent me a bill. Then they marked it as a "credit". I may not have to pay the money, but if I wouldn't have called they would have sent me to collections. I've never had an experience like this at a dentist office. Now my husband has a cavity due to the poor quality of work done after they left gobs of enamel cement between his teeth only to have that scrapped when they originally did the work. If this is what modern dentistry is like, our future looks pretty bleak.
BEWARE! This is the worst dentist I've been to. We live just down the street for this office so we scheduled appointments. Started badly when the dentist used too much filling and left a bunch between my husband's teeth and then put a crown over it. Caused him so much pain and had to go back in to have the filling chipped from his teeth. Then the office called and scheduled my wisdom teeth removal, I took the time off of work, to find out they never put me officially on the schedule! Then when I went in the office had lost my pre-payment only to discover they wanted another $1000, then it became $500. Then I was told I didn't have enough of my insurance to cover it! I found out later that they billed my insurance without doing the work! Now I'm fighting my insurance to get my benefits back since they paid the dentist office. Now the office was supposed to refund my pre-payment after they messed up the entire thing and they still haven't and it's been weeks. Now I'm still hundred of dollars out with no resolve. This place is a huge scam and they will trying to tell you that your teeth are way worse off than they are. They will tell you whatever they can to get you to come back every 3 - 6 months. Keep your money in your pocket and go somewhere else. Oh and if you have any anxiety about the dentist go anywhere else. I almost passed out in the chair from fillings and the doctor could have cared less. Sad cause the building is really nice and they have a lot of new tech that would be beneficial if they had people who cared.

Everyone was so nice and accommodating. My cleaning was a breeze. The dental assistants were so nice to answer all my questions about whitening. Definitely will be coming back again!

Fantastic experience at the dentist this morning. Experienced friendly professional staff made my emergency visit a pleasure. Price was very good and place was slick and span with all modern equipment. Dr Bill made me feel comfortable during the whole experience. Well done guys
