On my way up to Door County for vacation my molar with a large old filling in it had a piece break off. Each day it hurt worse and after 4 days it was really bad. I was referred to this dentist by a local here. The office was great, they got me in right away. Even though the tooth need more extensive work the Dr took care of the it enough for my pain to go away and get me thru the rest of my vacation without any problems. I was very happy with him and my experience.

I was on vacation in Door County and was referred to Dr Sledge by locals. From the very first call with Mary I had Class A treatment. My temporary bridge fell out and needed to be recemented. I called at 9am and was seen at 1pm. The entire office personnel was fantastic. I only wish the office was in my home town in California… thank you Dr Slege and staff.

The dental office in Sister Bay is the most unprofessional I have encountered. My appointment was at 10 am for teeth cleaning as a new patient. I waited months to get an appointment. At 8 am on the day of my appointment the office called and said they had not received the x-rays from my previous dentist -- and unless I got them the x-rays I could not be seen unless I consented to bitewing and a full mouth x-rays. My previous dentist is in Arizona so with the time difference on such short notice (two hours before my appointment) I could not get copies of my x-rays. I said I'd be willing to do the bitewings but NOT the full mouth as I'd had one just a couple of years ago. The receptionist said then they could not see me! The office insisted on doing a full-mouth x-ray. I'd never recommend this dental practice ..... If they had the courtesy to contact me earlier to let me know they had not received the x-rays I would have had the time to contact my Arizona dentist. I am a resident of Door County and was surprised at the rudeness of this office.
I hung up and called a neighboring dental office who gladly would clean my teeth as long as I had the bitewing x-rays --- the full mouth x-ray is only needed "if there's a problem" ... what a difference!

DD was extremely helpful in providing records to me to submit to my less than cooperative insurance company which is a sub contractor to UHC. I am now going to appeal a denial based on that and hopefully will receive some compensation towards a needed tooth procedure that was completed by them. One of us old farts.....

The hygienists at the Sister Bay office are some of the nicest and most careful that I've received care from. Those cleanings, followed by thorough inspections by the dentist (whoever is on site) leaves me with confidence that my teeth and gums are healthy. Going to the dentists office has never been my favorite thing but these people make it easier and very worthwhile.
