I would give Okun Dentistry 10 stars if I could. It was the best dental experience I’ve ever had! Ultimately, I chose it because of the great reviews. It did not disappoint. The office was warm and inviting, but more importantly properly sanitized. Gina was super welcoming and friendly. She immediately greeted me and made fun conversations while I was waiting. I had the pleasure of having 2 fantastic hygienists. Patsy took my x rays and showed them to me while explaining her findings. Kim performed my cleaning. She was amazing! She was very thorough, but gentle. She made sure I was comfortable the entire time. Dr. Irina was very nice too. I would highly recommend Okun Dentistry.

Had an amazing experience at Okun Dentistry. I am deathly afraid of dentists and needed a deep cleaning. Everyone there was completely understanding and gentle with me, being as patient as can be. They are also always willing to work with my schedule and budget! I am 100% satisfied with the treatment I received as well as how I was treated with as much gentleness and care possible. Shout out to Ellen, Dr. Amy, Beth, Poppins and all the sweet ladies that make going to the dentist a bit easier! You guys are THE BEST!

The staff is wonderful at Okun dentistry; very friendly and helpful. Love Dr Amy Okun and now I’m seeing Dr Owtad for Invisalign… one stop dentistry and orthodontics.

First time going to Okun- Where do I begin, I am 32 and I have never experienced more of a beautiful dentist experience as I did today. I went to dr. IRINA and I made sure to ask the assistant’s name, Renle, as I needed to write a review... Irina has such a pep in her step. She is a ball of sunshine while the assistant is too. They work so great together and they were very efficient and QUICK. They did a filling. IRINA WAS SO HONEST WITH WHAT I NEEDED! She could’ve told me I needed so much more done... thank you Okun

I would leave 0 stars if I could. I went in off the recommendation of a friend, so I had high hopes in the beginning. TLDR: if you’re getting a lot of work done, DO NOT TRUST THEIR QUOTES ON COST!

I went in for an initial consultation and cleaning to see what all I need to get done. After the cleaning and them (supposedly) confirming with my insurance, they told me initially all of the work I needed to get done would be roughly $2000 out of pocket split between a few different visits, to which I agreed.

After THREE APPOINTMENTS & paying my balance off at the end of each totaling over $1300, they decided to tell me that they were wrong and I actually owed $1300 MORE out of pocket for what was already performed AND almost $5000 more for the procedures I was scheduled for. Obviously I wasn’t prepared to pay that huge out of pocket cost, so I called for clarification and to cancel my future appointments. They told me they would cancel the appointment and call me back about the balance because of their error. They never called me back.

Fast forward months later to today, I get an invoice in the mail for over $1,600. So somehow even though I cancelled my appointment, my balance supposedly went up from $1300 to $1600. Long story short: Don’t trust them!

Top notch, individualized service, the latest technology, procedures, and equipment. Quality Improvement/assessment processes are noticably in place. Best dental practice I've ever been to. I could not be happier.

The only positive to this place is the nice brunette who worked with pediatrics at the front desk and Wrenley, DDS assistant.*

I called about two weeks ago to set up an appointment to add glue to one tooth. I've had my retainer for over 15 years and it is permanent to my bottom front teeth. I was just charged $88 for an exam where all he did was look in my mouth, nothing but flash a light and touch 5 teeth with an instrument, which took approximately 2-3 minutes. That's it. Outrageous.

DDS Syskel from the moment he started leaning my chair backwards, I could already tell was going to charge me more by the way he was prepping me with his body language and his particular verbiage. Syskel's resolution to my one tooth with little residual glue reminent was that he would have to remove the excess glue and went into a whole process. He told me it would take hours. He then told me that the tooth would shift without the glue, which is why I was here. However, I felt like I was being shamed into doing it. When the dental assistant came back with the price I was shocked. I politely declined and walked with her to the front where I was charged the $88, out of pocket. Cool. Worthless appointment other than waste my gas, time and money. Could have gone to groceries, school or the nonprofit I volunteer for.

I called Las Sendas Dental (off Power where I have been twice because I lived in the area when I first moved here. They were great) while I was waiting for DDS Syskel to write the prices up and Las Sendas told me it would be $90 to fix. I will be scheduling an appointment once I'm done writing this. That's with the removal of what could be left too.

When I go home to Wisconsin every six months, I get my teeth cleaned. If the glue comes off, I'm not charged more than $100 without tax.

After today and my awful experience with the dentist on Southern and Higley at Smile, I can say I have very little respect for dentists in Arizona. They try to overcharge you, guilt trip you and attempt to justify longer procedures that entail more work than actually necessary. Be careful who you let touch your mouth.. those are lifelong damages you have to live with. Makes me incredibly anxious. Quite disappointed.

Extremely impressed. I chose this dentist practice solely because it was close to my new home and they had great reviews but I ended up really impressed by everyone on their staff. Within a weeks time, I had an initial exam, cavity and crown done. Very happy with their quality of work and their impressive equipment.

I have been coming to Okun Dentistry since 1999 and have nothing but POSITIVE things to say about this wonderful practice and the staff. Never have I been offered or persuaded into any unnecessary treatment. If you have anxiety about dental work like many do, this is the place to go. Most recently I was going to have a tooth pulled due to my ins. cost and after Amy did a thorough check a far less invasive and cost effective option was available. I love this practice and will recommend them to anyone!!
