Okun Dentistry

If you are looking for a dentist in Tempe, I highly recommend Dr. Amy Okun and her staff. This week I had a 21 year old crown replaced and decay removed.

Dr. Amy and Tara are quite talented. This crown fits great and the proceedure was painless. This sounds a bit crazy but I actually enjoyed my dental visit. Tara made sure I was comfortable. She offered me a led vest and a blanket. {so comfy} I had 3 hygenist playfully picking my crown color. Dr. Amy and her staff obviously like each other. This resounded through the office and my experience.

Terrific experience. Got into the chair right on time, hygienist was friendly and moved right along, and I received great attention from Dr. Styskal.

Get your quote in writing! I went for a cleaning and check up. Everything went great, the staff was friendly and the quality of service was excellent. I requested an appointment to get a chip in my tooth fixed. The receptionist quoted me an awesome price, so I scheduled the appointment for the following week. After the chip was fixed, I went to pay, and the new receptionist informed me the cost was $50 more than quoted previously. Because I didn’t have the quote in writing, I had to pay full price. Not sure if that was a money grab or mistake. Either way, they got $50 more out of me that was budgeted for other medical expenses that needed it.

I've had a lot of dental work in a lot of offices, and Okun Dentistry is one of the best. They are always super accommodating with scheduling, usually finding a way to get me in same day. I didn't realize how bad my old dentist was until I had work done by Dr. Styskal. I can't recommend their office enough.

The single best dentist visit I have ever had! It is clear to me why people fly across the United States just to visit Okun. I have had less fun at amusement parks, Okun is legendary status.

Often in recent times we question humanity about caring for others. I have recently experienced an overwhelming positive experience at Okun Dental. The level of caring and compassion with the entire Okun Staff was amazing. I felt compelled to share our experience. My 20 yr old son who attends ASU recently was involved in a bike / car accident. In his accident he had numerous injuries including losing his upper teeth. As a parent over 1500 miles away in MN we felt helpless. On the day of the accidents he randomly walked-in off the street into the Okun Dental office. As I made contact with Okun's front desk I felt he was in good hands. The front desk staff kept me informed and asked how they could help. Dr. Styskal of Okun Dentistry treated my son initially as if he was a life long patient getting him in immediately . Okun dental stabilize his teeth, performed x-rays, inform us of his condition and put an initial plan of action in place. Upon arriving in AZ I met with Dr. Amy Okun she was truly amazing! She treated my son as if he was her child. We had specialist involve immediately same day to do extraction and install implants while the Okun office worked all afternoon to providing temporary teeth for my son to ensure he felt confident. Dr. Amy Okun was truly amazing to me and I will never forget her! Dr. Martinez provided amazing work on temporary crowns for my son on the same day! So many others from the office help us I wish I could remember all of their names we appreciate their hard work and caring. To Okun Dental it was another day at the office literally helping strangers. To me and my son it was an amazing display of compassion and professionalism that was truly unique and rare. We are so appreciative of your efforts! Thank You we will always remember what you have done for us in a time of need.

Haven’t seen the dentist in about 9 years. Left Okun Dentistry today feeling more confident and clean. Staff was beyond great, never rushing me while making me feel welcome. Call out to “Poppins”, Beth and Jeff. So much time away from a dentist left me anxious about my mouth, Okun greatly mitigated that trouble. Thank you.

I have been seeing Dr Amy for the past 7 years and could not be more happy with her and the team at Okun Dentistry. I just had a cleaning and the hygienist used a cavitron (ultrasonic). No more picking and scraping, highly recommend!

Nobody likes going to the dentist, but the crew at Okun make it as much as it can be. I originally visited due to a word of mouth recommendation; I go back because of how excellent they are at customer service and quality dentistry. Particular note to Gina, Laura, Patsy, and Dr.Styskal!
