Crested Butte Dental

This was my first visit to CB Family Dental and I was very impressed with the level of professionalism and the thoroughness of my exam. The staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable. I am very happy I chose CB Family Dental and look forward to a long relationship.

I previously lived in Seattle and was happy there with my dentist and his office staff for 25 years. I moved to CB six months ago and wondered how the quality of care would compare. The short answer: Better in EVERY respect.

Kristin and Amy gave me a pleasant and relaxed welcome. I never felt rushed filling out the preliminary paperwork, and I tend to be a little pokey. Katie, the dental assistant, made the process of taking the many "before" photographs fun. I then met with Dr. Dave, who explained my diagnostic options and was clear and forthright in answering my questions. Mandy then cleaned my teeth and answered more of my questions as they came to mind. She allowed me time to talk with her throughout the cleaning. I wasn't limited to "uh-huhs" and "unh-uhs" with my mouth filled with instruments. I then met with Dr. Dave again to discuss how to handle the one problem they found.

I really enjoyed everyone I met. They are smart, down-to-earth, and interesting. You can tell when people like their jobs and take pride in what they do. The office atmosphere is professional and relaxed.

I was impressed with the office's technology. Before Mandy cleaned my teeth, she gave me an anti-bacterial rinse followed by the brief use of a hand-held laser to lower the bacterial load in my mouth before examining and scraping (with a gentle touch). X-rays of my teeth were taken using a CT scan (my choice, no pressure, and the cost was quite reasonable), which I'd never had before. The 3D pictures were clear, in color, and helped me understand Dr. Dave's explanation of my options.

I haven't had any treatment from Dr. Dave yet, but I learned he makes his own crowns and puts them in the same day (no mounting of a temporary crown while you wait a couple of weeks for an outside lab to make the permanent one). I expect to be as pleased with his dexterity in making repairs as I am with all other aspects of his and Dr. Chelsea's office.

Update: Today Dr. Dave replaced one of my fillings. He used a laser drill. No anesthetic, no pain, the procedure went quickly, and my bite feels the same as before. Asia (AH-shee-uh) was a pleasant and competent assistant.

I ate lunch right afterwards and had no soreness then or now (about four hours later). It doesn't get any better than this!

3 fillings and a crown in one sitting. 2 hours out the door and everything was perfect the first time. Great people and the best technology make it consistently a better experience than I ever could hope. This has consistently been the case for the whole family.

These guys got in me in quickly and took such good care of me. Very thorough delivery of information. Great atmosphere.

Pretty much the best dental experience ever. Two days before leaving town for vacation, I had a crown break into 2 pieces. They bent over backwards to get me in that next day and Dr. Chelsea and Katie worked thru their lunch break to take care of me. The new crown they designed actually looks and feels like a tooth - it's a perfect fit. They checked in the next morning to see if I needed a bite adjustment before leaving town. It's now 2 weeks later and I don't even notice it's there. No adjustments needed. Thanks Chelsea!

Great people, great service. Exactly what you want from a dentist. Would recommend.

Nothing but great things to say about my first experience with CBFD! The 3D scan of my entire jaw was very impressive, talk about using technology to your advantage! I had a fun and easy cleaning afterwards. My experience was so positive, I bought the 'club pass' because I knew I would be coming back. Thanks to you all for taking care of my all-important teeth; you only get one set!

My visit required a long appointment and everything was done to make me comfortable. I truly appreciate the friendly staff. I am blessed to have been treated by highly skilled professionals.

I broke my tooth and knew that I would need a crown. I did not have a primary dentist at the time so I called one in Gunnison and one in Montrose. The office in Gunnison could not see me for a week and I did not hear from Montrose until 4 days later. In that time I called CB Family Dental. The first question they asked was, "are you in pain?" They scheduled me that day for a check up and set me up to get the crown the next day. It took two hours, comfortable procedure, and a great fitting crown. My only regret is that I found this group just weeks before I am moving out of the valley. I highly recommend CB Family Dental!
