First Appointment as a consult and the doctor spent his time, gave me a couple of ideas without really knowing what my mouth looks like without pictures.
The doctor made me feel totally comfortable which is big for me in a Dentist chair.

My wife and I have the oldest open patient account at this practice.
In fact, three generations of our family are patients there.
As usual, my dental hygienist was Suzanna who does an amazing job without any discomfort at all. I often take a nap while she works on my teeth.
Be sure to request Suzanna for your next cleaning. You’ll be more than pleased with her caring demeanor and the results.

I brought my mom here for an exam and cleaning and was very impressed with the care she received from the minute we walked in the door. Heidi was very pleasant and helpful when scheduling the appointment and Sue provided an excellent cleaning and advice for maintaining the best hygiene. My disappointment about Dental design.
- a lot of clerical issues leading to different unpleasant results at the end
- Unprofessionalism on billing details and providing different numbers with each call/ person (total balance, today’s payment, adjustments amounts were completely different in the first ledger provided vs corrected one with an interval of 2 weeks between receiving those documents and with the fact that my last or last Insurance payments were made 3 months ago)
- Inconsistency in explanations how secondary insurance works (receptionist explained as I can send patients portion not covered by my primary insurance to the secondary insurance, the person calling about outstanding balance explained as they divide main claim amount and part sent to primary insurance and another one to the secondary insurance that caused an issue with final balance as they were trying to claim insurance I didn’t have (that I also clarified when I was there last time) and as a result added it into my balance)
- Issues with having joined account (insurance information is updated for both instead of adding only to the correct person, reminding of the visit to the wrong person, letting know about an outstanding balance without specifying for who’s visit that leads to the confusion)
- Unwillingness to help (very polite on the phone and and in emails but no results at the end, just empty promises)
- I’ve never seen such statements when you don’t understand what it is for: both statements that they sent with incorrect and corrected numbers had only total balance remaining (not clear for what as we had joined account and it wasn’t clear for which visits) and insurance adjustments dated 4-5 months after my last visit with the code Credit adj, nothing else. So until you request itemized bill (that took us 2 weeks to get) you won’t understand where this total number came from.
- Doctor has 2 patients at the same time (at least most of my visits it was so especially one time when I asked the nurse to call the doctor and finish with me first as the doctor was missed for a very long time ) that affected time spent in dentistry
- Instead of apologizing appropriately their manager Joel was offering me a discount for the remaining balance that as my opinion was not worth all the stress and time I had AND ONLY in the exchange of removing bad review. So they don’t want to show that they can have some issues and are willing to fix them. It doesn’t look professionally correct. It made me think if those reviews that are currently displayed could be truly all satisfied or did they make deals with other unsatisfied clients. I rely on the reviews before I go somewhere and if I knew how they deal with the issues and support their patients I wouldn’t go there.
Going to the dentist is stressful enough for many people. Patients should not loose faith that the office will keep their billing straight, or work out any problem that arise, or whether they know what they’re doing regarding your dental care. This is at the very core of the dentist/patient relationship.

Excellent Customer service: I called today (Saturday) regarding extreme pain and swelling on my low jaw. I've got the Appointment on the same day with Dr. Garfield, who immediately helped me and also, advised me with the plan of care. Outstanding experience for me as a new patient. I recently had 2 appointments at Dental Design.
My first appointment was for my exam, prophylaxis, x-rays and
intra oral and extra oral exam. Christine provided these services to
me in a very professional and thorough way.
My second appointment was to replace 2 very old fillings. Dr. Garfield
performed these services very efficiently , pain free and as much explanation as I asked for.
These experiences were nothing but positive, from the front desk staff,
the hygienist,Christine and also Dr. Garfield and his assistant.

Unfortunately I need a lot of dental work. Fortunately, I've got Dr. Gelman to help me. Every experience I've had in this office was so good. The atmosphere was exceptionally relaxing. The entire staff treated me with such respect and kindness. I was so impressed from my very first visit. Best of all, have been my experiences with Dr. Gelman. He was super courteous, and patient explaining everything that he can do to restore my teeth and my smile. From fillings to implants, he is the best.
