Best place to have your teeth cleaned. They don’t recommend any unnecessary service and when you do have an issue they have a clear treatment plan.

The ladies at this office are awesome. They are so sweet and help with any questions you might have. They make it a point to know each and every patient. My kids don’t mind going to the dentist anymore.

My family has never been very fond of this place, due to the their excessive push for extra "periodontal maintenance." Today I went in for an appointment and was told there was going to be a charge. Usually when I go there is no charge but they informed me that since I receive two extra "periodontal maintenances" that insurance doesn't cover all of it. So I said alright and that my mother would pay it since she takes care of my family's medical bills. The receptionist acted as if this was of the utmost priority and when I informed her that my mother's brother had just died, she told me that we had until the 29th to pay it. To again clarify, I asked if my mom was aware that she was paying for extra services not covered under insurance and that since I did not pay the medical bills I did not want to authorize any payments. The receptionist then curtly and loudly announced to the whole lobby that I had periodontal disease and that insurance didn't matter and I need these services. After wanting to again inform her that my mother was the one who needed to approve this services I decided to instead leave, embarrassed that the entire front office AND patients waiting knew about my gum disease. Not to mention the woman who sits in the back office was hovering the entire time waiting to interject with something unnecessary. All of the front desk staff was entirely insensitive to the fact that our family member had just died. Pretty much every front desk person I have interacted with here is unprofessional and talks down to you. They are overbearing and rude. After Dr. Laney left my mother and sister started seeing another dentist and I think after today's little incident I will be finding another dentist. Would not recommend. The dental hygienists are great but the front desk staff is nasty. Not worth the hassle and humiliation.
EDIT: In response to the reply left by management, I would like it to be known that at NO point was I offered ANY form of privacy and no one ever mentioned anything about discussing it in a different room. The staff is clearly just trying to cover their own butts because they realize how critical patient privacy is. I shall say it again, the front desk employee LOUDLY announced my personal medical diagnosis to the entire office and lobby and at no point in time offered to talk to me about this in private. I will repeat: The staff did NOT, despite what they say, offer me any chance to discuss this in a more private setting. Even after she announced my illness, she proceeded to shame my family for not having the money to afford extra dental services by condescendingly telling me that "Insurance doesn't matter." I wonder if she would feel that way if she was the one paying for the extra services. Once again, very hostile staff, no concern for privacy, and also clearly trying to lie to cover their blantant disregard for patient confidentiality. Bottom line: I was never offered to speak about my issues in a different room and my privacy was violated blatantly and rudely. At no point did I "refuse" anything. These people are clearly trying to cover their unprofessional and insulting behavior, but do not be fooled.

My appointment today 10/12/2020 was the best Dental experience I've had in all the years going to the dentist.
Great staff. Very friendly!

I meant to leave a review awhile back but forgot so here it is. When Dr Lanie left, this business went extremely downhill. I can't even begin to write all the things that went wrong with my daughter that continued going there but let's just say they treated her very badly and tricked her into signing something that was not thoroughly explained to her, they should be ashamed of themselves. Also one woman in particular that works at the front desk checking in patients is very rude and the most unprofessional. Only thing going for them is the hygenist there, she is amazing and way too good for that place. I wish I could give a zero star but it's unfortunate there isn't a zero because that is what I would give.
And whatever comment you give back please remember and respect that this is our truthful experience that I'm sharing.
Added note after the Gentle Dentist response: She was NEVER satisfied when all was said and done, that's a joke. And it wasn't the treatment plan she got tricked into signing, it was a document that was given to her after the treatment, sorry you don't remember what you did to her.

They were so nice and friendly! A few months ago I had to take my toddler there, because no one else would see him. A knew then I would be going to them. They got me right in and took care of the problem that day!

I have been terrified of the dentist until I came to this office. The staff at Gentle Dentist go above and beyond for their patients. I will forever be grateful for the care and compassion the staff and dentist have shown me from day one!

Don't go there!!! I was there when Joel was the dentist. He said I had THIRTEEN cavities. Little ones, but it was important to take care of them now, blah, blah. So I had 10 done. It was all I could afford. Had to go back several times after because he never filed the filings to match my bite pattern correctly and it hurt.
Next (2016), I go in with pain in my upper left molars. Surprise! There's a new dentist. I honestly can't remember her name. Mainly because she looked at my teeth for 10 seconds, my xrays for 30 seconds and told me she couldn't help me and that I had to go to an Endodontist. I was in and out of there in the time it took my ride to park the car and walk inside. So I go to the Endodontist. He does every test possible on those teeth. Nothing. Absolutely nothing wrong. He asked if my dentist had suggested to see my PCP because it was probably my sinuses pressing on the roots of the teeth. Bingo! He also stated that he couldn't understand why my dentist couldn't have done all of this. He felt so bad for me he gave me a discount. So it was only $175 to find out my teeth were fine.
Fast forward to last week. I went to a new dentist in Lafayette (across from Pizza Hut). They did 18 xrays, including panoramic, checked every nook and cranny of every tooth and gum, cleaned my teeth very well, screened for oral cancer, and gave me a fluoride (sp?) treatment. Apparently, that is what competent denists do. Oh, and the kicker? Remember those 3 cavities I never got filled? They disappeared! It's a miracle! Or a giant freaking scam. There are lots of dentists, do yourself a favor and find a different one.

They were caring and knowledgeable. They offered my many options on how we could proceed. Also gave advice for each of the options. Thank you for helping me to soon smile again!
