Edgewood Dental

I have had nothing but the best experience working with Dr. Foss and the rest of her staff. I would recommend them to anyone looking for top notch care and service. I just called in today and the phone did not even ring once before the phone was answered and they quickly delivered in the information I needed and helped me schedule my next visit. Don't hesitate to give them a call!

I've been putting off updating this for a while because I was just so exhausted by it all.

My initial experience was great, but after a few appointments my good feelings quickly started to fade. Between the dentist and assistant gossiping about their husbands and celebrities to the dentist not listening to me when I complain about pain, my feeling is that this place is just as bad as the other places I've been.

My last experience I was getting immense pain while the dentist was drilling and when I told her, she told me I shouldn't feel anything and that it was just pressure.. it wasn't pressure, but way to invalidate so you can continue to gossip with your assistant about "hot actors". A year or so back I had a root canal and they couldn't numb me because he didn't notice there was a second nerve, it was horribly painful and this is exactly what it felt like.

I tried telling her and it seemed like she just wanted me to be quiet and she rushed through the process while I was in a ton of pain, that filling fell out within a few months, then the pandemic hit and between that and my fear of going back to that dentist, I just let it go.. then it became infected and I had to reach out about 2 months ago, a different dentist prescribed me antibiotics and said she'd see me for an emergency visit. As that day came, I became ill(bleeding disorder) and was not able to leave my home, so I called the day before to reschedule...called and called and called up until about 30 minutes before they closed, it was a Thursday, so I just left a voice-mail.. being I couldn't speak with anyone and the day of wouldn't be appropriate.

Friday no call back, nor Monday, I was still struggling with illness and I called them back mid to late the next week and they wouldn't tell me if they got the voice-mail or not, they told me now that I needed to have my teeth cleaned before they look at the missing filling(what?) and they booked me out into August, which was almost two months out. I told the receptionist I was really concerned with the pain coming back and that by then I might have another infection, that they won't be able to see me if I have an infection with a high temperature and that I am immunocompromised, so I don't want to be making all these separate appointments, I just need my filling fixed.
She replies " Oh yeah.. well you have a good day and see you at your next appointment".

I'm looking for a new dentist. That's that.

Edgewood Dental sets the bar for excellence in dental care. The staff is very friendly and personable. They work very hard to ensure you are as comfortable as possible. I have remained a loyal patient while working in five different countries. I made Edgewood Dental a priority over 15+ years because of their top quality care and excellent staff.

Staff is nice

Any services recommended were always done for daughter and husband -- bills were constantly higher than what we were quoted....very frustrated and sick of having to question charges after being advised of one amount and being billed for another. Spent many thousands of dollars through the years. Even though it's a pain, changing dentists due to the frustration and paying more than what other local dentists charge for the same services locally.

I have been to numerous dentists over time, and I would highly recommend Dr. Foss. She has been patient, explains procedures well, and has greatly reduced my dental anxieties. It would be well worth your time to give Edgewood Dental a try!

Always a great experience at Edgewood Dental. The staff is so friendly and the hygienists are great. Dr. Foss is great too! For someone who doesn't like the dentist traditionally, I will say they are wonderful!

I had a good cleaning with Tasha she did a great job. Very nice people.

Dr. Snider and the rest of the staff are so accommodating and make the entire experience nice and easy! Dr. Snider is very thorough and does an incredible job! Very happy to have found such a great dentist! Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a personable and genuine dentist and dental office.

This is an absolutely fantastic dental office! I had been in an accident in which I had broken off two teeth. The staff was able to get me in despite being busy that afternoon. Dr. Laura Snider and Melissa then very capably and expertly reattached my teeth. Their kindness was very comforting and I went away looking as though the accident had never happened! The amazing part is that the entire process only took about two hours.
I highly recommend this place!

Unfortunately updating my review now in 2022.
After this practice moved to a new building and is growing into a bigger practice, the patient connection and service has decreased. One issue was a difficult time getting a retainer properly made. Several attempts at making the impression and the retainer was still not correct. I needed to go to another provider for a replacement for the proper fit.

*Second* There have been times when I followed through with a recommended treatment here and wondered if it was necessary or a business revenue grab.

*My final issue* to changing to a different dentist is the requirement of annual xrays. It does not matter what the customer reasons are nor what dental insurance will cover. I've confirmed in person and by email. Yearly Xrays are required here. I have checked elsewhere and all other dental practices I contacted in our area encourage but do not require annual xrays. It is a policy does not allow patient centered Healthcare choice.
