I was pleased with the dentist but I would highly recommend you go somewhere else. My daughter had a few procedures done in July and August. I paid my portion for each and never received any sort of bill or notice that there was an outstanding balance until the week of Christmas. I called the office to get clarification, as the invoice only told me my account was pst due but did not say for what service or child etc. The receptionist told me she would send me a detailed bill so I could figure out why my insurance didn’t cover a portion. Great - no big deal. I explained as soon as I could see what was going on I would send in the payment. Today I received a letter from a collection agency. Again no warning or attempt to let me know what I am past due on. Just a demand to pay. I will be taking my family elsewhere for sure. I have absolutely zero issue paying my bills. I just wanted to know what I was paying for since I had paid over $1000 in a two month period and wanted to verify everything was correct. Don’t think that was asking too much...

Despite my many issue due to lack of care on my part, they never judged and worked through my anxiety with respect. My technician Courtney was compassionate and patient when caring for me today. Highly recommend!

I came to this office hoping to find a wonderful experience and let me tell you I’m so thankful that this group is here. Soon as I walked in I was immediately greeted by Teresa. She found my appointment and had me checked in super quick thanked me for filling out my paperwork online. I was then quickly greeted by Sara. Words cannot describe how AMAZING she was! So was so kind and so sweet through the whole process. She took me back and done my X-rays and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. She such a great people person and we talked the whole time I was there. She introduced me to everyone that came into the room. I felt very involved at a dentist office for the first time. The dentist I saw was Adam Battaglia and I can say he is so Great! So so personable and actually cares about his patients. He did a full work up and got an action plan on what I need to have done. He is super efficient and knows what he is doing. I then met with Teresa again and she went over my insurance and how much things would cost. She took the time to answer all my questions and made sure I understood everything! Sara of course was with me the whole time talking to me making feel so welcome and comfortable. I then got my cleaning done and Sara did the first portion and was of course AMAZING. I then got to meet the hygienist Trisha. Also know as “Dexter” (And if you don’t know what the show is please watch it it’s good I promise) She was so much fun and happy to be there! Once she finished I then met back up with Teresa and she gave me all my insurance paperwork on how much stuff in the future would cost and a free sample pack of dental supplies! Adam came up to the front and thanked me for coming in to them and hope I had a wonderful experience. They knew I didn’t have a good time at my last dentist office which was Aspen Dental and this group has far exceeded my expectations and I will always continue to come here. If your looking or even thinking about switching to a dentist office I highly recommend you come see them cause I have no doubt that you’ll make them your new place to go :)

Thank you again Water Tower Dental for making me feel so welcome and I now look forward to going to the dentist!

Great place for dental work and maintenance. They are very friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable. They’ll answer any question you have and give realistic pointers to help you maintain your dental health at home. Special shout out to Marissa for giving some great advice regarding mouthwash.

This is an absolutely phenomenal dental office! I knocked my front crown off over the weekend and went in to see them promptly when they opened at 10am on Monday. Even without an appointment, they got me in immediately, reattached it with no pain whatsoever (no anesthetic needed), and I was walking out as good as new by 10:45am! Thanks to Dr. Battaglia and the rest of the team. You are the best!!!

If you're thinking about going to Water Town for dental treatment, from all of my experience during the past 9 months, RUN THE OTHER WAY. For those who are interested in the details, here are some of the reasons:

- Before I even received any treatment, I had never been to a dental or medical provider who was "so" focused on money and collecting fees. I went for an implant and was REQUIRED to begin paying for the procedure before I had any of the work done - despite the fact that I have an outstanding credit history and dental coverage through two insurance companies. Weeks later, when I arrived for the procedure, they informed me that I must consent to a full panoramic x-ray before they could begin the work. As a military member, I regularly have panoramic x-rays done, and I had also recently had one with another civilian dentist. Consequently, I refused another panoramic from Water Tower, offering instead to sign a consent for my primary dentist to send Water Tower a copy of the recent panoramic. At first Water Tower still insisted - stating that I could not undergo the implant procedure unless I consented to their panoramic. However, when I "stuck to my guns", they finally relented and began the procedure - only to say again at the end of the session, "We see your [panoramic] x-ray from your dentist, but we always take our own since things may have changed. We'll take one now before you leave."

- As money-hungry as those initial interactions seemed, things got worse months after the procedure. I received an email from their Assistant Office Manager on 3/11/2020. She stated that because my primary insurance had denied payment for their share of the implant, I had an additional balance of $152. The problem with that rationale was this: Water Town had given me a detailed statement on 10/24/2019, before any of the work had been done, showing that my primary insurance was NEVER expected to pay for any part of the implant. Therefore, Water Tower was asking me for more money, without any true or accurate justification.

- I responded to the Assistant Office Manager's email a total of 6 times, asking for clarification. My email was rejected each time. I found a group email address (smile@watertowerdentalgroup.com) and copied my message to that address, but received no response. I sent a certified letter to their office on 4/14/2020, but the only response I received was another bill, threatening me with collection action if I didn't immediately pay the additional $152. Next, I sent a second certified letter to Water Tower's corporate office in Irvine, CA on 5/18/2020. Still no response - until I did, indeed, receive a letter from a collection agency earlier this month.

- I quickly tried to contact the collection agency but was disconnected after waiting on hold. When I finally reached the collection agency, I outlined all of my efforts in recent months to obtain an accurate explanation for the additional charge and offered to pay 50% of the additional fee, in order to settle the matter and protect my credit rating. The agency refused to negotiate. Today I phoned Water Tower again and spoke with their new office manager. She acknowledged that Water Tower had made a "clerical error" and provided a brand-new explanation for the $152 - while still refusing to reduce the amount. When I agreed to pay the full $152, the office manager did do one thing that I appreciated: she contacted the collection agency and provided me with an email, indicating that the collection agency would cease their efforts against me and leave my credit score intact.

You can decide for yourself, but I think most people would think I'd be crazy, if I ever chose Water Tower again for any treatment for my family or me. They have the only oral surgeon who is in-network for both of my dental insurance companies, but the aggravation and time I've spent over the past 9 months definitely isn't worth it.
