Aspen Dental

Not impressed. I knew Aspen Dental has had several lawsuits due to ovrr charging. But I thought I would try them cause a friend used them with no problems. 2 days before my appointment I did my check-in on phone only to find out it would be a 90 minute appointment but not to get my cleaning. Never have I seen this before. What takes 90 minutes? I normally get a cleaning every 6 months and have NEVER seen this. I think they still be scamming!!!

They push your appointments back, charge you before you even walk in the room, and when you ask for an itemized bill (before you even get any services done) they tell you they will provide that AFTER so you end up paying for things you don’t want/need and can’t fight it because they performed the service. I have insurance and shouldn’t pay a dime out of pocket, but the three times I’ve been there they always manage to say I owe something, 2/3 times it was $100+. The hygienist has never been kind, I always felt like I was inconveniencing her with my questions and she spoke very condescendingly. Would never recommend - I gave them three tries and I’m done.

Introductions made & I felt welcome. The dental hygienist was great. Wonderful teeth cleaning. Appointment set for 3 months. Care plan reviewed. Very professional. I would recommend Aspen Dental to everyone.

I was nervous going to Aspen because I had been with the same dental office for almost 40 years. My reason for looking for a new dentist was because of my insurance and Aspen was in my insurance’s network. First I had to find the office (check); when I went into the office I filled out a long questionnaire (check); I was then called back to their clinic area - had many x-rays, dental hygienist checked out my teeth and then the dentist examined my teeth and gave me the analysis of what should be done to continue to save my teeth. I need to go back for the cleaning (I thought that would have been done at this appointment) the first part of November and then I need to have a tooth capped sometime after the cleaning appointment. So far, I am very satisfied with the care.

I had a first time appt then came back to get a tooth pulled in the same day. Staff very friendly answered all questions dr very thoughtful explained everything I felt taken care of and trust them to return to Aspen dental for all my dental work. Thank you Dr. B and staff😁😁

First appointment, got there 15 minutes early as instructed, my appointment was at 3, didn't get in until almost 3:30. Person doing xrays didn't care if it was painful or even placed correctly. So many different people coming in and out. All were friendly, but told me something different. Never been to a dentist that has the office workers come into the appointment WITH the dentist, then lead back and told you need things (that in the last 6 months from a different dentist was never told about any of it.. like needing braces!) that are VERY expensive and conveniently not covered by your insurance. When I refused the service the guy seemed pretty unhappy about it. Not at ALL what I expected. Very Disappointed and a waste of my time. All I wanted was a simple check up and a cleaning.

The bite plate for the x-rays is awkwardly large (never experienced one that size) so I kept gagging. It was jabbing me in parts of my mouth.
THEN, there’s no doors on any patient rooms. I have been to a few dentists in which have privacy. . . Sigh yeah but it was nice to have them discuss the plan to get my teeth done. I just want to feel confident in myself and be able to look good with a healthy smile. Odd thing dentists do a cleaning then take pictures and do an exam. They just took x-rays /pictures a exam told me I had to come back for a cleaning.. in 2 mths by the way. ???
I have NEVER had to go back for a cleaning. They’re always done same day. Every single person I talked to said after the fact it was weird too.
Anyway after talking about the plan for the work needed to be done. I was told to meet with a financial guy. Wow he was not patient at all. After I had ask him to run down the main work that had to be done even with the financial help it still needs to fit my budget. He offered me a high rate to pay back monthly. He asked if this would be ok, I said no. Was there other plans what are my other options. He showed me after i asked a 3rd time, he was in a hurry still, he showed me. Its.nice to.have options. But he asked if i wanted the tooth bush i said no i was going to find another better price elsewhere. He said "well you'll be wanting it so i will jist put.it.to the side for now". Wow.. i cant believe the cocky jerk. I followed with no i would not need it its not priced for me so take.it.off there. He said sure .I figured I would just come on my next appointment and talk more to the dentist... I even asked if could speak to the dentist then. He said she was with other patients. So I will wait till my next appointment. I could have gone to other places but I chose them. Sure they get more money than i can bring to them, but as usual health care make mony take money and dont care. I need my teeth done. This is a start an unfortunately because I have to get this place to finish what I paid for. They seem fare in helping with payment plans. I don't like the financial guy whats his nme again, i jave a hard time rememberingnames of peoplewho are rude... I like the other dentists or oral health people so hopefully it will change. It has to right?

Office manager pressures you to skip work for appt otherwise you won't get one for 2 months. Not true!! When I said I wouldn't do that and I guess I will hv to call my Dr for my knee replacement I had to postpone all of a sudden I had 2 appt in the afternoon that start in 2 weeks! 1 after the other. I also saw him put my 1/2 cash pmt for my deep cleaning in his pocket then when we were walking out he took it out like he did it mistakenly. Still very unsettling even if it was shown as a pmt. That could be changed by him if he is a dishonest person which I cannot say 100%.
The dentist, hygienist, xray gal and dental assistant were very nice explained things simple and efficient.
