I adore my Dental hygienist Sasha and she makes me comfortable despite my mild dental anxieties. Dr. Haynie is excellent. I'm in very good hands at this fair, ethical, and friendly practice.

I had put off going to the dentist for years, so when I finally chose Hood River Dental I was extremely happy to find such a friendly, competent staff. Everybody knows my name, they make time for me whenever I need to be seen on short notice, and they work with me to come up with treatment plans that work with my budget. I highly recommend Hood River Dental to anyone.

My Mom was visiting from out of town and she had and issue with her crown Saturday night. It was Sunday morning, I called and he got back to me and saw her the same morning. A HUGE thanks to Hood River Dental, you're the BEST!

Dr. Payne and Kathrine are PERFECT for me because they are so skilled, knowledgeable, and take the time to throughly explain everything. In addition, they are gentle and compassionate. For those reasons, I trust them completely and am confident I am getting excellent dental care. Plus, Collene (spelling?) is so cheerfully good at her job and a pleasure to work with!

Very patient and customer oriented. The front office staff, the Hygienists, and dental assistants as well as the Dentist are knowledgeable and up to date. The office is clean and fresh. Highly recommend.

I can't say enough good things about the incredible staff at Hood River Dental. From the moment I walk in the door I feel like I am a part of a family. Dana or Bonnie greet me like an old friend. I am always brought back promptly, and rarely spend time waiting for my appointment. After walking through the lobby door, I usually bump into Sasha (if she isn't the one I am there to see for my 6 month cleaning and checkup) - she is one of the kindest most energetic people around, not to mention funny - oh and she is the best hygienist I have ever had the pleasure of working with. The entire team of dental assistants/hygienists are top notch, friendly, warm and a delight to be around. Then there are the docs. These guys are Top Gun certified, just like Maverick. Any time I have had a normal check up, filling, or any other kind of more involved dental procedure - I am continually blown away by the professionalism, skill and extremely happy customer glow I have every time I leave or arrive at the office. Most recently Dr. Haynie, or Dr. Haynesaurus Rex as I fondly call him, repaired a nagging cavity and dialed in my bite so perfectly that I couldn't even tell where the work had been done. He takes my smile and how i feel about myself seriously. They all do. How about we talk about the two dental implants these guys have done for me? Dr. Madden, or Dr. M, has helped me truly get my smile back. Having a missing tooth for so many years, and then dialing in the perfect treatment plan, placement and final dental implant - left me feeling like smiling all the time. I'm smiling as I'm typing this...I simply can't stop! Beyond my smile, I am able to chew more easily on the left side of my mouth again, alleviating all that strain from chewing only on the right side for so long. Top to bottom these people, these friends as they have become, have opened their office doors as well as their hearts to me and my family. They care about me, they care about my dental health and general well being. They are excited when my name is on the schedule, just as I am glad to be on it. There are many choices for dentists here in Hood River and the greater Gorge area, and in my mind there is only one choice...Hood River Dental. Hood River Dental has provided my mouth with the most professional, high-tech, pain-free and amazing experience. I showed up for my first appointment due to a recommendation from a good friend, but she failed to mention all of the amenities. During my two visits, one for a standard cleaning and one for a crown, I felt absolutely pampered. These professionals paid attention to every detail, starting with the offering of ibuprofen at the beginning of my visit. They explained every step along the way. During the more serious and lengthy procedure I was offered television on the ceiling with headphones. I did not even feel the shot (usually the most horrific part of the process). Thank you, Doc Madden. I warned of my very sensitive gag reflex and the lovely Dental Assistant, Lety, was creatively attentive to my needs at every step of the way. Shout out to Lety! Their fantastic high tech procedures were shown to me as they designed a new crown for me using incredible innovative software. I could not have been more pleased with my experience. Wow!

I have never experienced oral health care like I have at Hood River Dental! Right away when you walk in there is friendly, competent staff to greet you and answer questions. My hygienist Julia is professional and makes the appointments breeze by and if you're good she will even let you pick out which pandora station you listen to. Another impressive thing I should mention is the use of technology that they use to enhance your experience and help your learning. It's one thing to hear someone saying, one, two, two, three, three, four, blah blah blah. It's another thing to then visually see all your teeth on a screen and have that AHA moment, that's where I am not flossing or that's where I could be brushing better. Not only that, you can compare and track your progress over time. I personally feel very motivated to see less red in my chart and more greens! Luckily I haven't had any cavities yet so I can't speak too much the Dentist side of things but every time Dr. Haynie comes in he is very approachable and takes time to explain answers to my questions in a way that suits his audience. I highly recommend this office. I think they even set the bar for how a dental practice should be in Portland. (Yes, I commute over an hour just to come have my teeth cleaned here!) I believe in the staff and the high quality of care I receive here makes it worth it!
