Advanced Family Smiles - Philadelphia Dentist

I couldn’t ask for a better experience! My brother lives in the area and goes here, so when my 9 year old daughter (who is between dentists since hers just retired) fell and broke her two front teeth last night, I was able to get an emergency appointment with Dr O early this morning. Her, Erin, and Nisha (and the rest of the staff, of course, but these three ladies were the ones that helped us directly today) were beyond professional- they were so calm, kind, and patient with my very scared little girl who was not only in pain, but scared and embarrassed of her appearance. They were able to handle her anxiousness, which is quite a feat. I couldn’t imagine having gone somewhere else. The practice fixed her up good as new and regained my daughters confidence! Clean and bright office and I would give the stars if I could!

Would have been nice to be told an IV sedation would be 4,000$ without coming in to hand them 150$ for nothing

This place is great! Always on time, professional, and very friendly. Dr. Patel is the best dentist I’ve ever been to, and I’ve been to a lot. Very happy this place exists. Highly recommend to anyone who wants their dental work done right.

My children and I started going to Advanced Family Smiles in 2017, thus far all of my visits have been great w/Dr Olena and her assistant Nisha (who btw does excellent work as well). My children are seen by Dr Calzada who has been very good and patient with them. We also love our 6mo dental cleaning visits with Erin the hygienist who's always so cheerful 😊, energetic and just a fountain of information. The office is strict about their 48hr notice if you're not showing up for an appointment but are accommodating when you need/want to be seen. I highly recommend Advanced family smiles.

I have not been to a dentist in about 5 years. It’s definitely been a long time. My anxiety is very very bad. It gets to the point where my whole body trembles when I go to a dr. Especially the dentist. Dr. Sanchez was understanding and kind! I just had a full exam and three filling done by him. He knew how nervous and anxious I was and he made it painless ! I felt absolutely nothing! The office is amazing too! I called in a panic asking for a same day appointment and they made it happen. If you struggle with anxiety and need a dentist this is the place to go! I have a cleaning scheduled for Wednesday. When I find myself feeling nervous or panicking about the upcoming procedure, I keep telling myself that Dr. Sanchez is going to make it okay! The office manager is also available sometimes after hours to accept calls if you have a dental emergency. Any other dentist will turn you away. Advanced smiles dentistry goes above and beyond for every patient especially if you have anxiety and feel like you absolutely cannot wait weeks on end for an appointment.

Love this office! Natasha is awesome, she took the time to explain the procedure and what options I had. Everyone is always very welcoming. I moved closer to center city but still travel to this office because the hospitality IS THAT AWESOME! Highly recommend.

I had a great experience...I had to get a few things done this year. That being said everything came out as it should. The customer service and expertise from the doctor was top notch. If you decide to have dental work done I highly recommend this facility for all of your dental needs and care...you won't be disappointed.

I used to think you couldn't have it all; it's either professionalism or cordiality, and if I had to sacrifice one it would be cordiality. After my appointment I realized you could have both and more. When people say they would travel out of city or state to see a doctor, these have to be some of the ones they are talking about.

Xray results were explained to me in an understandable manner, various questions were thoroughly answered in more detail than expected, options moving forward were addressed, genuine concern was expressed for any perceived misgivings, and even financing was concrete with no room for mystery fees. I felt like I knew what was going on at all times, like my concerns were addressed, and the whole thing felt very pleasant and conversational.

All of those elements of bedside manner are icing on the cake. The actual dental work was top shelf and was approached with a no-stone-left-unturned mentality, very methodical and meticulous. The knowledge base was clearly there from the answers to my technical questions. Dexterity was evident in how smoothly the process went. I'm sure this is a marker of attentiveness for more than just me, but I wasn't gagging on the water for the first time.

I took the time to write this review, which I seldom ever do, because I felt the effort and attention that was given to me had to be reciprocated.
