Advanced Family Smiles - Philadelphia Dentist

Had a fractured molar over the holidays. Went to this practice on January 2, 2023 thinking this would be a great place. Honestly, should have done my research before jumping to this practice and getting composite filling done here. Within 2 business days the filling failed. Not sure if this practice is using less expensive composite materials. Cause I know there are 7 different types of composites that dental practices use. Today I called their office asking for a partial refund of $150 and not for the full amount of $450. They told me they would need to get back to me later. When I got a call later in the afternoon they said they could not give me a partial refund. They said they needed me to come back and see what they did wrong and fix it again for "Free". Why would I go back and have another different dentist work on my teeth when it already failed the first time? Im not going to let another person work on my teeth and make another mistake again. Dont have time to go back and forth to the dental office when something wrong. Im not a human guinea pig. Ever heard of nerve damage? Ever heard of getting it right the first time? Dentists should be experts at their craft if they are always training. Believe all the low reviews are real and honest reviews. All the over 1000 high reviews seems like their coming from friends and their friends. This practice seems like a " you get what you paid for" or "budget friendly." If people like to consistently go back to the dental office after paying for a failed procedure and have the funds to do it again, this would be the place. This place need to rename the business to Advanced Toothloss, Advanced Ripoff, or Advanced Scammers.

Dr. Patel was magnificent. When I flinched in pain, he stopped, told me what steps he would take to address my pain, did so and gave me some time to adjust, and continued when I felt ready. I feel incredibly listened to and my worries quelled. I highly suggest being treated by Dr. Patel. :)

Great experience. Staff is very kind & considerate making sure you are comfortable & pain free. They explain everything in detail before & while they is working on you. They will show you pictures of your tooth & why they need to do what they need to do. They take their time working on you. I’m very happy my daughter found this place & that I decided to go there.

Cleaning were great. Needed a root canal. Process was described very vaguely and felt it was just a money grab. Stated insurance covered 100% but in reality didn't. My mistake for trusting their word.

Everyone was so friendly and nice. Clean and comfortable facilities. The hygienists and doctor made me feel comfortable.

I came in with pain on the left side of my mouth. The office is very professional, including the administrative staff! I was seen very timely according to my scheduled appointment. The service from Dr. Nick Patel and his wonderful assistant was outstanding. They made sure I was comfortable every step of the way. My insurance didn’t cover one of the procedures, but they informed me of other available options and offered me assistance. They made it possible for me to get all the services needed today. I went home happy and pain free!! If you’re looking for a great dental office, fabulous staff and facilities, and a caring dentist, ask for Dr. Nick Patel at Advanced Family Smiles! I don’t even like going to the dentist like that, but I’ll be back. Thanks guys!!!

Would 100% recommend this office. Everyone there is extremely friendly and makes you feel calm. I have an extreme fear of doctors especially dentists and they made me feel comfortable the entire time. I called the same day to get a wisdom tooth extracted due to pain and they took me in same day extracted the tooth and took care of a cavity I had. Dr. Patel is great and I wish I could remember the assistants name because she was also amazing! Highly recommend this dentist office. I will be returning

I've found my new Dentist! This has probably been the best experience at a dentist I've ever had. They are friendly, professional, supportive and always willing to answer a lot of questions. Highly recommend! Dr. Patel and Erin were amazing. They made me feel comfortable and I believe the treatment plan is actionable and has my best interest in mind.

This was my first experience here, and everything was great! Super friendly staff, sign-up was fast and easy, and I felt really comfortable. I had some issues with dentistry over the course of my life, and I felt comfortable with talking about my issues. I asked questions, and all answers were detailed. I had a surgery, and was walked through the process before and during the procedure. I feel comfortable with my care, and confident that my relationship with the staff at Advanced Family Smiles will continue to be just as wonderful as my first visit.

I came in as a new patient with multiply things going on with my teeth.
I was in pain and needed help.
The staff made sure I was very comfortable. Dr. was very kind & easy to talk too about my situation.
Dr. was very confident about how to help me.
He thoroughly explained ever detail having to do with my situation.
He took the time and did not rush our appointment at all.
Any and every question I had was answered.
For all of these reasons I was reassured that I was in safe hands.
My experience as a first time patient was wonderful.
I am so thankful for everything they helped me with today.
