Oak Family Dentistry

This office here is excellent. I have been going here for two years, and had a lot of pretty old dental work replaced. Everyone is friendly and very willing to answer whatever questions you have. They are empathetic to your needs as a patient, and understand that dental peocedures can be very expensive. Dr. Sciarrino honestly prioritized the work most necessary, and his wonderful staff helped me balance my insurance benefit and what I could afford. When I had a painful dental emergency right before the very busy holidays, they worked hard to squeeze me in and get me taken care of! They are prompt, polite, and kind. Do recommend.

Oak Family Dental has a wonderful staff who are always accommodating and professional. Dr. Sciarrino is a great dentist and he actually takes the time to talk to you and explain your treatment options. The office is clean and comfortable, I can't imagine going to another dentist. Have already recommended Oak Family to countless friends and family!

I used to dislike going to the dentist, until I started going to Oak Family Dentistry. They are all super nice people and very friendly. Dr. Sciarrino made the experience enjoyable if you can believe that, he is very friendly and even funny. He did a great job explaining what was going on with my teeth and what my options were. I never felt pushed or uncomfortable. He is honest and explained why the treatments are needed and how it all benefits me long term. I highly recommend this practice!!

After years of being uncomfortable with my smile and fear of the dentist, I finally got the courage to make an appointment at Oak Family Dentistry, and I couldn't be happier that I did! Dr Sciarrino and his team are all very friendly, accommodating, and professional; I never once felt uncomfortable in their presence. I went in to my first exam extremely anxious as to what all I would find wrong, and that I would be left feeling ashamed of my poor dental history, but I was happily surprised! Not only did I leave feeling glad that I had taken the right step towards happier teeth and a better smile, but I also left feeling empowered with the treatment plan they put together for me. It was like a weight had literally been lifted off of my shoulders!
After my initial visit I went in to start my treatment and had a few fillings put in a typically very sensitive area. Not only was I 100% numb and comfortable for the whole thing, I actually *enjoyed* the experience! I can honestly say that after the first few minutes, my only fear was that I was going to laugh too much at Dr Sciarrino, who was making jokes and made the entire experience very light-hearted, and mess him up! After my visit, I was able to carry on my day as usual. The anesthetic wore off quickly and, while I was a little concerned I might be in pain afterwards, it felt as if nothing had changed--except my teeth look SO much better already! I am actually looking forward to my next appointment!
When they treated me so well for my first visit, I brought my 3 year old daughter in as well and she loved it more than the previous pediatric dentist she had seen before! They treated her so well and she got many compliments for her behavior and beautiful teeth--which feels great as a mother!
I can't imagine going to another dentist, my family will be going to Oak Family Dentistry for years to come; I've already recommended recommended them to many friends!

My hygienist is THE BEST! And I refuse to see anyone but Dr. S anymore for my families dental needs. Love this place!

Dr. Peter Sciarrino and the staff at Oak Family Dentistry are great. They can get you in and out fairly quick and without pain or annoyance. The facility is clean and the staff are professional. They are flexible about rescheduling and can get you in before or after work. I really enjoyed both hygienists I have had there in the last couple of years. There is a calm environment. Also, they don't nag me about flossing, which is a plus! :) My husband goes there as well and I also referred my sister, father, and mother to Oak Family Dentistry.

Oak Family Dentistry has been family dentist service for the four years we have liven in the area. We have had excellent service. Usually, one thinks of pain and discomfort when talking about dental service -- but not here! Oak Family has a very gentle and friendly staff. It's honestly a pleasure to deal with them. I highly recommend Oak Family.

Great down to earth and honest dentist. Like visiting your nice next door neighbor that's you'd enjoy having a beer with outside the office.

We moved to Johns Island 3 years ago, Oak Family Dentistry was convenient but little did we know, Dr Scarrino, DDS and staff are so friendly, accommodating, helpful, and always willing to go that extra mile. Teeth cleaning not everyone's favorite thing to do, today in at 4:00 done by 4:30!! Smiles when I come in and friendly appointments when I leave.Last year, my son was home from college on winter break from college, his wisdom teeth were causing him trouble. Dr. Scarrino and staff made it possible for him to have his wisdom teeth removed that same morning , for a friendly referral that worked out great. Could not be happier with the great referral. Reminder calls always helpful before my appointment in case I forget.
Now we are so sad we are moving and hope we find another dentist office that is as wonderful as Oak Family Dentistry!
