Our son went in yesterday for an initial exam and cleaning. When we made the appt they said they would clean his teeth after taking X-rays. When he arrived it took over an hour and more time was spent trying to sell him expensive dental products and bad mouthing his current dental work and previous dentist than doing what they are supposed to do. I called them today to voice my concern and the lady I talked to hung up on me. I will be calling Blue Cross/Blue Shield Dental Insurance to report them for unprofessional dental practices. My advice is stay away from Aspen Dental! Now that I am researching further there are all kinds of complaints against them!

anytime i go in for a 6 month cleaning, the male hygienist is quite rude and annoyed with me. also they have tried to scam my parents numerous times. they try to get me to come before my insured 6 month cleaning because of my gingivitis just so they can make more money off of me and my parents.

BEWARE!!Scam, scam, scam.Took my son, they recommended and scheduled expensive cleaning procedure. I applied for financing. Cleaning was scheduled for next month. Went for second opinion to another dentist, was not necessary and regular cleaning was performed at 1/5th the price. Aspen charged $990.00 on my credit card the DAY OF THE $19 EXAMINATION for services not even scheduled for a month and ultimately never done!! Terrible mess, terrible company. Avoid at all costs- literally!!!!Did not want to leave any star!

I went to this office last year to use my “$20” cleaning or some sort of deal they had going on. I also assumed I might have a cavity or two since it had been a year and a half since I’ve been to the dentist. Not mentioning names, but in short I was told that I had 4 cavities, and needed periodontal cleaning treatment by them. I am only 26 and I know it can happen that young but I felt devastated and thought it was questionable. I walked out with a $2500 estimate...
After really being upset about the situation and not having the money, my wife and I moved to Indiana where we were about to get married. I just basically said forget it for awhile until I saw the dentistry school signs near Indianapolis. I ended up going there to be told that I did not have any cavities or didn’t need any treatment besides the cleaning. Fast forward to now...I just went to the dentist at another location as a second opinion because this could have been a mistake and they told me that I was fine too and that all I needed was now two fillings (one ended up falling out from a long time ago).
Point of this post is my honesty and frustration toward this situation. If I could give a half star I would.

Please avoid this Clinic!!
I had visited them for a temporary fill, the nurse thought that I had 0 knowledge about dental fillings. So she put some below-standard filling, and it is troubling me one more time. I had spent about $300 for literally nothing. There is this Dr.Patel who leaves patients to be attended by nurses but charges the regular fee. I will never ever recommend ASPEN DENTAL to any of my friends/Family.
I wish i could rate them with 0 stars.

Worst dental experience ever they tricked me into an over priced procedure that was nothing more than a simple teeth scraping I could get during a routine check up and then told me my insurance would cover a portion and I would have to pay around $200 then they charged me double that because my insurance didn’t cover any of the oversold procedures. I was lied right to my face and will never return.

I am an out of state student with a Maryland Bridge that came loose. I knew exactly what I needed done, and it should’ve take 20 minutes tops. Instead, I waited 30 minutes past my appointment time to even get seen, and they insisted on doing a full set of x-rays and gun exam (after I told them I have a primary dentist). After an hour and a half, a dentist came in and poked around my bridge, which made it fall out completely. Then he brought in a different tech to recement it, which took a total of 10 minutes. If I hadn’t had a presentation the next day, I would’ve just left with the bridge out and gone somewhere else. It felt like one giant sales pitch that took 2 hours, when I clearly came in with one concern that could’ve been fixed in 15 minutes or less.

Everyone was courteous & professional, however front desk person who was verifying insurance made some errors initially, possibly because she was new to the position.
I completed a pre-certification with my Dental Insurance prior to office visit to ensure things were perfect, however new front desk person indicated my insurance did not exist.
I was able to help her perform her job. Once I assisted her with obtaining pre-certification front office system flowed smoothly.
It was a rough start at front desk initially with front desk staff figuring out how to obtain a
pre-cert, however a GREAT finish with back office staff🙂.
