An emergency situation for an 84 year old took way too long to get him in a chair for doc to look at him (an hour). By the time a decision was made, it was too close to closing time to do the extraction. He has to suffer ANOTHER 18 hours of pain and inability to eat (because of the pain). Getting in and out of his apartment, the car, the dentist office, the x-ray room, the examining room, back thru the office, back into the car, back into the apartment is really hard on him, physically. He's 84.

The staff were very good. I sometimes panic at the dentist, but they were needful of this and helped me thru the whole appt. Would recommend them.

This place in Brownwwod, TX. is a joke. They are trying to keep the doors open by doing initial dental visit and exams without the follow up unless they can take you into major dental procedures. It’s like a time share sales pitch but it’s supposed to be a dentist. Then after the first exam they want to sit and discuss more procedures (pressure sales again like time share) and if you don't agree to all they are selling, they will not contact you to do the dental work you actually needed. They were supposed to call me with a quote for a bridge, but they wanted to do implants (which cost about 25k) I wanted the bridge, they won’t even return a call with the price for the bridge. The dentist told me my medical doctor and all medical doctors don’t know anything about healthy diet, but he said he read a book and he knows what is best because he’s a dentist and read a book... Literally that is his words. He literally tried to belittle me and talk down to me, which I didn’t allow and because of that now they won’t even call me with information from my insurance companies. I had just had surgery and he was telling me to not listen to my medical doctor (the surgeon) but to listen to him because he read a book and knows everything. The dentist is some insecure guy from California that honestly thinks he is better than everybody else, and will tell you he is. This place is the biggest joke I have ever seen. I don't usually write reviews, but this place needs one so that you folks know it is a joke and not a dentist office and so you don't make my mistake of going here. Find a real dentist, beware of this place. Just trying to help you out.

I had an 11:00 appointment. After waiting a little over an hour in the chair I was asked to return at 2:15 that same day. There apparently was an issue with an I’ll dentist. I had to drive 15 miles home the drive 15 miles back to town to complete my appointment. I was given the option to take my chances and sit and wait. I went home at 12:40 from the office. It was apparent on my arrival that there were several people waiting so I knew that things weren’t right. I returned at 2:15 was taken back 25 minutes later and then had my dental work started after 40 minutes. The dentist was excellent she was great. Her assistant was great. The inconvenience was aggravating because the cost of fuel is too high to be driving back and forth.

At first when I arrived the ladies that worked front desk and the one girl who brought me back to the X-rays, were very kind. I felt awful for them because they were short staffed and I completely understand how that feels because I work in the serving industry. When the doctor came in and was talking to me and examining my teeth, he proceeded to tell me that my teeth were in “desperate need of cleaning” (even though I brush twice a day, floss, and use mouth wash). Which I didn’t take offense to because I haven’t seen a dentist in about two year. But he proceeded to put me down and tell me that he “was in the business of helping people who don’t know how to help themselves”, which I found incredibly rude. I work two jobs, take care of my 3 siblings after my mom died, and take care of my grandparents who are getting older. I take care of everyone and everything and I found it incredibly impolite to say to someone. He proceeds to belittle me in a “I’m better then you because I’m a doctor” time and the lady that took me back to the room (who was nice to begin with) began laughing at me and at the doctors side commentary about my teeth. Not to mention I scheduled the appointment for a cleaning, because yes I haven’t been in two years, but then tell me to exit the back of the office and that I was free to go. I normally don’t write complaints because I’m and bartender and a server and I know what it’s like to have bad review, but I couldn’t let it go. The people that worked there made me cry in my car and didn’t even help me, they only put me down. I will not be coming back to Aspen Dental. I hope no one else experiences this.

Crooks.. very poor procedures.
Over priced and lure patients into hidden cost.
My wife nearly lost teeth next to her extractions, total hack job, with stitches. Would recommend.for.my dog. They will hire anyone just out of school. Beware..............

We haven't had the greatest experience at all with my father's dentures. When we chose this facility we were told that we could get adjustments to his dentures the same day he needed them. This was untrue for his temporary set, and is proving to be untrue for his permanent set also. The staff is very kind, though.

I made an appointment to get a tooth pulled, and they said yes come in. So I go and they do X-rays of all my teeth and then send me home without pulling the tooth. They said they didn’t have time. The very next day I go somewhere else and it’s done in 15 minutes. They could have they just didn’t want to.
The dentist was also rude. I know my teeth are in bad shape, that’s why I went in. But the guy says “if you took better care of your teeth then you wouldn’t be here”. That’s why people hate going to the dentist.

My inital appt went great aiming for dentures. As a patient with ptsd and anxiety after already loosing teeth from surviving domestic violence. I was promised they would work with me, and they changed doctors since my inital visit. Today walked out denied of services till medical release for a blood pressure issue from anxiety after the tech numbed me twice, (took blood pressures after numbing)giving me the false hope that they where going forward with the extraction. Said we where waiting on the doc but then came back in to take yet another blood pressure to tell me that I need the medical release because she misunderstood the doctor. I tried talking to the manager to understand who also gave me false hope to give me a chance to calm down for another blood pressure check for her to come back in without a blood pressure check and also be told still need the medical release and not getting it done. I tried again after getting home to discuss with the manager why they start numbing patients even before taking blood pressures when blood pressure requirements are there and it went in circles like she didn't understand what I was asking. She kept repeating patient has to be numbed before the doctor comes in, but the doctor never came in or talked to me. I'd give zero stars if it would let me. Might be better with a different team or a different clinic but I dont plan on going back to this one.
