I joined the Smiles of Irving family around 2008-2009. I call them family because that is what it feels like I am, family. Dr. Harper and her wonderful staff has helped and challenged me take better care gums and teeth and I appreciate them so much for it. Customer service is huge in my book and I love ALL of the staff there. They are all friendly, helpful, personable, and make me feel welcome and comfortable every time I visit. I do not feel pressured into treatment, and if I do have questions about anything, Dr. Harper explains what is needed and why. I love this group, and would recommend them to anyone looking for a dentistry home.

Had a great experience st Smiles of Irving today! I was a new patient and all the staff was so friendly and informative. I was nervous going in because I hadn’t been to a dentist in years, but those nerves quickly left after meeting Dr. Harper and her staff. Any and all questions regarding my teeth were answered and I left feeling great.

I lost a veneer yesterday. I went online and immediately made an appointment for today. I was able to go on with my day without worrying about my tooth. Now I have a temporary until the permanent is ready. The office is upbeat and cheerful. The staff is wonderful.

My tech was very nice and it didn’t take long at all. The Dr. was there when I arrived but had stepped out when I was almost done. That means there was no the final check that I’m used to where the Dr would normally address the concerns the tech had from the X-rays. She said they’d call if the Dr. saw something and needed me to come in again. I’m not a fan of leaving work frequently for multiple doctor visits that should be complete in one.
Aside from that, staff is nice, office is always clean and smells nice, and no wait time for my appointment.

I've been a patient at Smiles of Irving for over a year. During my pre-COVID 19 exam/cleaning I mentioned that my gums "hurt" and Dr. Harper prescribed a topical ointment. During my recent visit I mentioned that I'm still having issues with my gums--about a year later. The hygienist recommended that I "rinse with warm salt water". I felt my concerns were dismissed and pressed to see Dr. Harper
Unfortunately, I also felt somewhat dismissed by Dr. Harper. She also attributed my concerns to irritated gums. After additional conversation, she asked if I'd like to see a periodontist. Fortunately, my periodontist took my concerns seriously and uncovered the deeper issue after a gum biopsy.
Will I continue as a patient at Smiles of Irving? Yes, I will. They do a great job with the basic care of my teeth. Fortunately, I am an advocate for me and my health and push when I know something doesn't seem right, even if the healthcare professional tries to minimize the issue. Hopefully this will be a learning opportunity for us all.
