Charm Dental - Spring

I don’t usually leave reviews but I had bad service elsewhere and a friend recommended that I try Charm. Hands down best dental experience I’ve had in a long while! Got me in an hour after calling because I was having significant pain and addressed a problem better in one visit than the dentist I was seeing previously could in the 6 visits I had had with them. Highly recommend!

If you have trust issues with dentists, just know they want to take your payment BEFORE you book your appointment. I've had salons put a card on file to hold an appointment and I understand that it is trying to prevent people from just not showing up. I don't feel comfortable paying before even meeting. I was coming in for a 2nd opinion and was told if I bring my x-rays they will take a look and do a quick exam at no charge. But they want to charge me the cost of a x-ray appointment and exam AND THEN return the money back to me on the day of the appointment. It makes no sense. This seems very strange and I'm not comfortable with that. I was super hopeful because of all the 5 star reviews and I even had a long time client refer them to me, but this just seems very very strange.

*The girls on the phone were very sweet though, it was nothing personal. I just felt very uneasy about that whole situation.

Edit to reply: I do understand when a company chooses to hold a card on file to make sure they get paid if a client does not show up. I do not agree that it's right to make a charge and then return payment for showing up to said appointment, which is what the woman on the phone told me. The woman on the phone had told me a 2nd opinion was free. She did not inform me that it's only fee with same day treatment. I still stand by my 1 star review.

Was really worried about going in due to me knowing how anything involving anesthesia is tricky for me. I will say i had a great experience here. I was greatly informed and helped by Violet. The root canal went quickly and pain free. Will definitely use them for any and all dental procedures in the future

I needed a new dentist after a move to Spring. I picked Charm Dental because I live across the street and can practically walk to get there. I saw they had good reviews, mostly about the great staff. Well after my visit, I couldn’t agree more. Every single person I came into contact with was super friendly and constantly asked how I was doing. After my initial exam and consult, all prices and procedures were explained to me by Violet. I felt like I was very well taken care of and clearly understood what my dental plan was and how much it would cost me. I had a deep cleaning done with Dr. Sharma and he was friendly, attentive and caring through the entire process. Thank you Violet, Dr. Sharma and the entire staff! I had a great first impression and feel confident in the relationship I’ll build! I’m glad I found Charm!

All of the staff here were very kind! I enjoyed my cleaning today and will be coming back again.

Incredible experience. No one likes dental procedures, but Dr. Mehta and team are friendly, efficient and professional. Never had a better dental visit experience, especially for an extraction/graft procedure. 10/10 would recommend to anyone.

Wonderful team! They are very attentive and my cleaning went incredibly well. This was the most gentle cleaning I’ve ever had, but still with great results. I had to note this since in the past, other dentists had left me not wanting to go to back. Highly recommended this dentist.

Extremely overpriced tried to charge me $600 to get 1 wisdom tooth pulled. Went to Smile 4 Ever on 1960 and TC Jester and only paid $120.00. I highly recommend Smile 4 Ever for your next dental appointment great customer service and very clean.

Everything you need to know about this establishment, you can learn from their responses to other people with complaints. It’s never their fault, their always sure the reviewer must be reviewing the wrong establishment, or they go so low as to imply the reviewer must be fake.

I am not fake, and I’m not reviewing the wrong establishment. I suggest you read the other negative reviews as well: had we done so, we would have known what we were getting in to.

This place charges way over and above what most insurance companies allow and then passes this difference on to the consumer. They pretend this is the insurance companies issue…even though they actually quoted us based on insurance covering something they flat say up front they won’t. We trusted them, but we should have looked up our own benefits, because they innacurately portray what should be black and white. I assume this is because they don’t want clients to not get treatment they can’t afford when they learn they’ll have to pay for it. Once treatment is done, yours stuck. Rather than doing what most companies do, and accept the insurance allowable, they pass the remainder of their over priced treatments on to clients.

After we figured this out, we learned a friend had paid them thousands for unnecessary and over priced treatments, always being told that their insurance was not very good. After changing dentists, turns out, their insurance is actually just fine. Charm relies on people who won’t check or will trust them; that’s how they make their money.

If I cant trust your billing, I cant trust you with my mouth either.

Update: this condescending response is exactly what I’m talking about. Nothing is “confusing” about a copay”. This is different than overcharging and then passing the rest (AFTER you have paid your copay) on to the customer, and NO IT ISNT REQURED BY LAW to charge more than the insurance company will cover. Dentist offices all over the country often drop those charges off when they aren’t covered. Continuously trying to pretend this was a copay issue is part of their deflection. It wasn’t. We addressed them. They were equally rude and couldn’t keep a straight story then, either. This office actually “discounts” them so this is yet one more example of them lying to and misleading customers. Funny, it’s not a problem for our new office at all Zero integrity.
