Abundant Dental Care of Sugar House

The entire staff is professional, personable and helpful. The cleanings are quick and pain-free. My only concern is trust - a recommendation of over $3,000 worth of work to be done on my mouth, after a very healthy 25 years of experience (not even one cavity during that time) and impeccable personal maintenance, just seems excessive.

Dr. McKinsee Weyher is the best dentist! She is patient, thorough, and detail oriented. She explains everything and makes you feel so comfortable! I have major dental anxiety and she puts my mind at ease. I highly recommend her!

I went in for an emergency extraction on 5/30/18. Dr. Jennifer Crespo-Gonzalas was amazing. She was efficient and courteous. She prescribed medications that would be safe for my pregnancy, and after I was thoroughly numb, it took her less than 2 minutes to pull tooth out. When it was time
to leave, they held onto me as I wobbled to my car where my husband was waiting, because I was shaking and ready to fall over. The pain after the numbing wore off has been minimal. I will definitively be returning for my future dental needs.

I wrote a glowing review right after Dr. Jankowski completed an emergency root canal for my 13 year old daughter while we were on vacation from Miami in June. I just called their office hoping they'd still be open just after 8 PM, and the phone was answered by one of their dentists. So I asked if the office had just closed at 8:00 and he said they close at 7 on weekdays, but they have their dentists answering their phones AFTER hours!!! WOW, these people really go ABOVE AND BEYOND in providing services to their patients!!! And they're open 7 days a week [although reduced hours on the weekend]!!! We so wish we lived nearby to have them as our regular dentists as Florida is too long a commute for dental services.

It was quickly apparent that Dr. Allen has a lot of expertise and is detail oriented, which is comforting as a new patient to Sugar House Dental. The same can be said about Willi, she does great work as a professional while being kind, communicative, and concerned for her patients well being.

Went in for a routine cleaning and check up with nothing bothering me. The front staff is friendly and helpful and the lobby aesthetically pleasing. The back area feels cramped. It must have been busy because the dental assistants were like a tag team coming in and out. One of them did a preliminary identification of issues which was unusual to me. The dentist came in and took a look. They showed me the images and pointed out the "black spots" which indicated problems. They said that I needed five crowns and six fillings.

I was quite surprised. I sent the images to two previous dentists and they both said the crowns were unnecessary. One, whom I trust and went to for years, said that the treatment was destructive and to stay away from them.

The front staff had mistakingly thought they were in my insurance network. When it turned out they weren't they waived my additional copay. So kudos to them.

This was just my experience.

This is a great, clean, and high tech dental office. Easy to make an appointment, and cleaning was thorough and quick. However, I was pressured to opt for a more expensive (and optional, though probably helpful) cleaning procedure that my insurance would not cover. Even after I made it clear that it was out of my price range), I was offered options on a no interest credit card that could make it more affordable (but still out of my price range). This all occurred once I as taken in the back, and not in a position to research the procedure independently. While I could ask as many questions as I wanted, this was my first appointment, and I was still building up trust with this office.

These guys were awesome. Just moved to Sugar House. My tooth started hurting. They were able to schedule me for the very next day! (Today). I fully expected to need some sort of major dental work with the amount of pain I was in. They told me that honestly there was nothing they can see wrong. I was pretty surprised. They got me in for a cleaning and all of the staff was great to work with.

Great practice! I called them at 8 AM on Saturday December 31st because of incredible tooth pain. They were able to schedule me for 10 AM the same day and took extra time to take care of me and I was able to have a good New Year's Eve. Definitely recommend!
