Every time I’ve been to Aspen Dental, Dr. Patel and the staff there have been outstanding! Kim is extremely knowledgeable and helpful and Selma is the best dental assistant ever! I highly recommend the good folks over at Aspen Dental in Machesney Park!

They advertise, A smile that will last a lifetime ". BS. I had dentures that lasted 15 months. Tooth fell out eating icecream. Wanted me to pay for repairs and exam. Exam for what? Exam was maybe 4 min.Your product failed but I'm to pay for it? I even brought the tooth. Be VERY careful of Aspen Dental. If you deal with them, bring your own vaseline and just bend over. GOT A CALL FROM CUSTOMER SERVICE. THEY CORRECTED THE PROBLEM. HAD OTHER DENTURES 20 YEARS WITH NO PROBLEM. THEY CORRECTED THE SITUATION, BUT CAN'T SAY I WOULD GO BACK WITH ANY FUTURE PROBLEMS.

I did not like the care that I received. The staff was condescending and seemed to only be concerned with drama and theatrics of how bad my teeth were. They pressured me into the most expensive care possible. They wanted $5,000 dollars to do a root canal and crown. Insurance only would pay $2,000 dollars. Next they said I could get a dental credit card and borrow $3,000 on credit. But, if I didn't pay within 18 months there would be a $1,000 finance charge. Dental care for me is still out of reach! Plus, after all kinds of X-rays they didn't even do a basic tooth cleaning like I expected when I came in there. No care for me. Not too cool ! They were pushy and arrogant.

DO NOT GO HERE!! They do NOT tell their patients anything & one of the women at the front desk is the RUDEST person I’ve ever met in my life, she alone is why I’m getting my money back for unfinished work and will never go again and warn others as well! The dentist verbally told me several things I needed done at my initial appointment I then sat down with a woman who showed me a print out of all needed work and cost ($17,000 before insurance, $3,500 after) I had to pay in full before I could schedule any work. First thing I had done were 3 wisdom teeth extractions, the oral surgeon is only there 1 DAY a month (he and his assistants were extremely nice), he was frustrated because there was an issue with myself being heavily sedated and no one from Aspen HAD EVER TOLD ME (it sounded like it wasn’t the first time he’d had an issue with a patient not being communicatied with over an important issue by anyone from the office). They apparently also contract out their endontist as well, she is also there only 1 DAY per month. They never called me with the ONE day she would be there in August like they said they would, when I called them I of course got the rude woman from the front desk who said “can you come in tomorrow?” and like most employed people I couldn’t just come in the next day, so I asked for the September date and she said they didn’t know yet that far out (only 2 weeks away) or when they’d know. She suggested scheduling some of my other appointments instead like my hygiene appointment, I said I’d rather do that later and then she said I couldn’t get my root canals until I had that done and that it wasn’t a cleaning (which I thought was just a cleaning because NO ONE EVER TOLD ME) I don’t know how she expected me to come in the next day since she knew I hadn’t had what was actually something called root scaling done which, NO ONE HAD EVER TOLD ME I needed done. I then scheduled that and got off the phone as I was annoyed because the woman is beyond rude. I called back at a later day to ask what that was and why I needed it done and again got the rude lady at the front desk, she just read off a definition from a medical dictionary or something, but I wanted to make sure it was the teeth that needed the root canals so she got the hygienist on the phone and I was told by her it was in fact the teeth that needed the root canals that needed it done. When I came in for the root scaling appointment it was NOT those teeth!! I just got the 2 root canals done on Wednesday, the endontist (who along with her assistant were also very nice and took great care of me) asked when I was coming in next, I said Monday for 5 fillings and she said “good, the dentist can get a look at how everything is then”. I just got home from my appointment for my fillings and not only did they only do 3 and I need another appointment for the other 2 (which again, they never told me), but the dentist told me to schedule my bridge work before I left, I did & was asked when I could come in again this week, when I said I am not available anymore the rest of the week the rude woman from the desk (who I wasn’t even dealing with at the time) walked over, gave me a dirty look with her hand on her hip and said (with the biggest attitude I’ve got from anyone) “you can’t come in AT ALL this week” when I said no, because I have things like a job, a toddler, and school she said I HAD to have the bridge work the same week as the root canals and none of the multiple people I’ve delt with there had EVER told me. She was the person who scheduled my root canals for me and never once said 1 word about needing to schedule the bridge work the same week so it was 100% HER fault. She was in such disbelief I couldn’t come any time any day, the dentist then came up and told me I needed to have the bridge work ASAP after the root canals even though he had also never told me before & COULD HAVE JUST DONE IT instead of giving me 3 fillings. He told me I may need both of those teeth extracted now if I don’t get in soon enough, which once again NO ONE EVER TOLD ME!!!

Horrible experience! Poor customer interaction, and lack of ergency to see patients even after their scheduled appointment time. Long waits after being seen and multiple surprising charges that dont hold merit. Typical approach to upsell services that are not necessary and charge enormous prices to bait you to their high apr repayment plan. Went in for a typical cleaning, and 1.5 hours left and recieved no cleaning due to not having an available hygienist. Complete waste of my time and will never return or reccommend.

Wow. Aspen dental provided me with the most accommodating service I've ever gotten. Karina and Libbie were wonderful and Courtney and Dr. Patel are pure professional. 5/5 would recommend.

I was sorely disappointed with this dental facility. I had a consult for an oral surgery I need done. Dentist was nice but my problem was with the financial consult that immediately followed. I was told some convoluted story about how I had to pay for the sedation up front (a little over $1100 for the sedation alone, YIKES!!) to even book the appointment and after it was paid and the procedure was over I could then submit it to my insurance for reimbursement, something about how they could not submit it themselves because it was sedation. Something about this did not sound right so I contacted my dental insurance company and, after talking to them, learned that as a PPO provider, I should not be getting charged anything upfront. Everything should be submitted to the insurance company and, after the claim is processed, the dental facility is to then charge me the agreed upon PPO rate. I was told that their entire billing process was incorrect and to NOT pay anything up front. Suffice to say, I will be going elsewhere for my surgery and will not ever go back there. Glad I followed my instinct on this one!!

Very courteous staff and went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and relaxed. All procedures, xrays, and results were explained in detail and to my understanding. I will highly recommend Aspen Dental to any and all of my family and friends.

Mandy got me squared away Jimmy John's fast. Karina was an amazing help in calming my fears of having teeth pulled and may be my new best friend. Dr. Patel was in and out before I knew it he even did anything. My exact words were "You're done already?"

I really liked the doctor but the business aspect is horrible. They are more concerned about money before you even talk to anyone. I went there four times and every time was awful in the business aspect. I had an appt made for 6 months and when I showed up they said they double booked because I didn’t confirm my appt by phone (they called once that morning and I work). She said it would be 15 minutes and I waited for over 60. No apologies at all. I will not be going back.
