They are an awesome group. From receptionist, to the dental assistant, to to dentist. All good. I called just the day before and they were able to get me in, the next day and take care of my broken tooth. I would most definitely recommend them.

I confirmed with the front desk that no X-Rays were due for my child. Hygienist Amber took my child back and just asked if I wanted fluoride or any concerns. I said no to both. Almost an hour later Amber comes out to request me to come back. She starts showing me an X-Ray they did. I was frustrated and asked who authorized it and just said a note from mom was in the computer to do the X-Ray no matter what. Amber also said I was making her uncomfortable and I need to communicate with my wife. I left and came back where I was greeted by Jennifer and requested to speak to someone. During this time a blonde receptionist started to chime in and tell me how my wife have rights and she is going through the same thing. I told her I am ending our conversation. The same blonde receptionist told me I did not inquire about X-Rays and wanted the receptionist that checked me in to tell me our earlier conversation that I was there for. I declined the emasculating request, I was there for the conversation.
Finally, I broke away from the conversation and Erin the Office Manager came out. She seemed more concerned with Parental Consent to make sure they did not make a mistake. She said she called my wife and said I was unprofessional with the hygienist this morning. I informed Erin I was blind sided and my intent was not to scare the hygienist. I told Erin I did not yell, belittle, use profanity or threaten her. Told Erin I asked about X-Rays and told none due and then BAM come look at these X-Rays. Erin also said from here on out my wife would need authorization from me to get work done on our children. I objected and told her I did not agree with that and we talked; however, there was no clarification on my objection. I do not need my wife calling for permission to have our kids get work done. I did not talk to Erin about her emasculating receptionist.
Wife got home and she said she made a request for the X-Rays after her appointment in September and just forgot about it. She does not know how the wording of the note got like that.
Even with this review I can not take away the skill and professionalism of all the hygienist along with Dr. Peterson and Dr. Lissa. They have been nothing but great to our family. We have one child with special needs and Dr. Lissa was the best with her.
It was just a communication issue from all sides that lead to this situation. Many things can happen in four months and we could change our minds or could have had the X-Ray done at the Orthodontist. As a father I just felt that a coup d'etat on my parental consent on my child. It is alarming that a note like that got in were it shows we are in a contested marriage when in reality we are not. It is alarming that they just went off the note when I am the one that brings them in all the time and should have had confirmation of the X-Ray.
I plan on staying with Nikki and Dr. Peterson, my wife has not made up her mind. I am only staying with this office because how great Nikki, Dr. Peterson and Dr. Lissa are. Even Amber that I dealt with is good, it was just a miss and we are not all perfect and I regret that Amber was "Scared" of me. It is hard to control your emotions when you believe someone did something with your child that you were not expecting; however, I did not disrespect her at all during our conversation but I did have an elevated voice and I do not believe her telling me "You need to communicate with your wife" helped the situation.
Unfortunately we will be switching our children to another office do to the incident. I do not need to give approval to my wife for her to get our children care. We want to be aware of what is going on when our child is in the back. I understand Erin wants to prevent conflict in the office; however, I believe the best way to do this is to just verify billable treatment to the parent that brings in the kids.
